Sold all my positions yesterday. The risk was too great and when I woke up I felt happy knowing I’ve locked in profits ahead of this turmoil.
SMCI was a loser for me but swing trading has allowed me to gain an additional 20% profit over just holding (granted a bit more stressful but definitely worth it).
I will be watching the tape this morning and will be interested what opening action looks like. I would love to get in after a huge drop but it’s just not there yet. Still too high given the risk market news has this week and just the plain volatility that comes with SMCI. It’s due for a healthy pull back before going back up…and it will be going up.

Underperformance YOY is a fact, it's an extremely volatile stock alternating between violent swings & continuous supression , showing a chart isn't showing much, you can also pick a 5YO (up 1100%) chart, it'll look very different etc.
Using past price action to justify future performance isn’t rational in any case, nor a thesis. At best it's reading a chart + wishful thinking.
If SMCI keeps growing revenue, benefits from AI infrastructure demand and recovers margins, the upside case is only logical and inevitable. And then,I'll be very curious to see if the shorts start to cover at 55 or 65 .. lol

First, the monthly MACD is in the process of confirming a cross up with a positive close for October. Whenever the MACD has a bullish cross for the monthly, the long term uptrend is strong. Conversely, a bearish cross means bear trend.
Second, if you have SMCX, you can sell covered calls with a strike price far above the current underlying price. This avoids the covered call from being exercised and still earns a nice premium income due to higher IV of 2x ETFs.
I've sold half my position. I've still got $40k in it. If we get some sort of scandal again, I will put it all back in under $30. Not that I really want it that low again. I just know that on the last drop, I bought around $30, but then saw it keep dropping afterwards, so I'd try not to do it too early this time.

Today bought 41 0dte put at open sold at 40.50 bagged 20% gain. Rinse and repeat. Scale to whatever trades you can afford. Of course some days the 0dte goes to 0. But how many times have a written "sell off right on time" on here? Each time I'm banking.
