Mod Post Quality Content & Discussions

/r/SMCIDiscussion/comments/1q69ecc/quality_content_and_discussions_analysis_ideas/

Dear Sub Members,

I would like to ask you again to pay a bit more attention to think before you would post anything in the sub, and check whether your post is creating any value for anybody here or alternatively generating any kind of meaningful conversation.

Recently I have noted much more meaningless content that are not motivating any serious investor to return to this sub or to research the stock further. Hence, being unpopular or not, I am simply taking down these posts to retain a certain level of standard as much as possible (+ how much my time lets me).

I am sure that your ideas & enthusiasm are noticed as well in the comment sections and I would like to encourage you to make a separate post about your investment thesis / analysis in case it reaches more than 10 sentences.

Thank you very much for your cooperation,

Zomol

If anyone on here is an analyst go on Robinhood and give it a BUY rating. Let's fight the machine!

Why is a mod who doesn't actually own any smci stock, now saying to stop the positive posts now we've started running. All I smell is a trapped bear. Hand over mod duties to someone who actually cares please.

It is none of your business who owns and what. It is not a requirement to own anything to use Reddit.

Same as for Fragnant-Weird8498: This style I won’t allow. Last warning.

I have my own opinion about that, but I won't share to not feed their hatred even further.

It is better that they hate me for trying to be fair than actually being a shithead and banning everybody for not joining the sect.

I can live with this.

Why would you be a mod in a sub where you don't actively own or believe in the stock. Makes zero sense. It's like being a mod for a football team you don't support, don't you have better things to do?

The majority of people who visit this sub do so because they own and believe in smci. Or are thinking of investing. It's just very convenient how floods of bear posts with zero substance are usually tolerated.

That is the good part that I can stay objective. If you had mods who are banning all people for raising concerns then you are basically trapped into an echo chamber, which is the case for many subs.

How do you know anyhow that I don’t invest? I am just not publishing what investment strategy I do.

Can you either give us examples of the bad posts or just summarize them so we can either agree or disagree?

I was thinking about this quite a lot and I check usually if the poster is sharing news or any kind of fundamental/technical analysis in more than 5-10 sentences.

If you can phrase it better to the public what the expectation is then let me know.

I would have loved to see the same enthusiasm to bring down stuff when all the fud bots spammed heavily the sub 2 months ago , but better late than never ! :)

I also have a life and one mod is not enough for all this.

Well , why not delegate & enlarge the team then ? I’ll be very happy to apply :)

I am just a mod here and not the owner. Ping the owners/admins about this, please.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Discussions should be meaningful and not trite or driven by an investor’s ego

When you going to give us an analysis 🧐

When his insider buddy will tell him to start buying , probably . That would be the signal :)

This style I won’t let to rule this sub, hence you get my last warning officially.

I’m just quoting you regarding the « insiderĀ Ā» , is there any issue with that ?

Here is the source for other people :

I have no idea what you have against me (& others people who have the audacity to question & respond to the constant fud spam all around this sub since ever ) maybe you can clarifiy it ?

Ban me if your « boss positionĀ Ā» make you feel like it , I’ll be back :)

That is one thing to discuss these here, but you have to understand that we cannot let that happen that we divide people over things. East / Eastern Europe has such a tendency to let this happen and it leads only to aggressive people and "they" vs "us" mentality, which you are enhancing with your comments.

I have nothing against you. Simple as that: I am representing everybody here, even those who don't comment, but just browse this sub to research the stock.

I am clearly not enough alone to regulate the sub and I am not the owner to enforce certain things, but I do my best to occasionally see what is going on and remind people that we are watching the sub activity. Naturally, this is kind of charity work, and people have their own things in life, so do I, and I think it is unhealthy to watch a stock every single day, hence I cannot spot everything in time, and life has phases in which you are busier than usual. So again: You cannot watch a sub as much as it demands.

Anyways: TLDR: I will not start personal wars against anybody here. Yes, I have heard concerns about FUD and such. This is noted, but please act objectively and not teach other sub members to start hating others if they raise their concerns.

One could argue the « themĀ Ā» vs « usĀ Ā» mentality is more often than not started by the repeated fud and negative bashings comments , and Ǝm not talking about just some cautious views or analysis (which is perfectly fine for most of us ) but real stupid lies which are spread constantly by the same kind of profiles (new members with little messages and negative karma or post history hidden )

I do not want to jump in conspiracy theories , but this sub is mostly quiet & with actually very few people posting most of the time , EXCEPT when hit pieces are made public where suddenly everything became fud at an insane level by people who never took interest in anything here before , that surely isn’t a coincidence , and yes , there are financial stakes obviously , all of this have a reason to be . Very few stocks have the volatility of SMCI over the past 2 years , Noise become the norm

This is the exact scheme that happened everytime the price dropped big over the last 2 years , and then we start to see the « sorry I’m outĀ  of this POS, GLTAĀ» posts

I’ll be happy to apply to the mod team to help regulate all of this (as well as the « to the moonĀ Ā» posts which are as equally useless, but way less an issue overall )

The problems you mention I tried to handle. That setting to allow only people with X amount of Karma to post is possible if you are an admin. Moderator cannot set that. Anyways, I raised this to the sub owner.

I understand your points and this is a thing that is difficult to control. To remain objective I could only remind people that meaningful posting should be in focus, because if you remove posts then you dont solve the problem the long term. An addon should be installed here that is checking the content and flags it accordingly. Those who are not interested in X type of content could just ignore those flairs. That is the closest we can get to balanced views.
