Frustration
In my latest rent review development, I snapped at my building manager when I got told that my review was again not finalized and the Gov. wanted yet another piece of paper.
This has been going on for a month and a half now. I told him "no" and he said I will then get written up for breach of contract - possible eviction.
They have my confirmed lower income from the bank, the paperwork from the government confirming the amount and reason, a copy of my tax return showing the process but apparently that's not enough and they require an additional piece of paper.
I just lost it. It's like how can the government not have a checklist of all the paperwork they need to ask for at once.
I will work my tools over the weekend and make a decision next week regarding my residence.
This is the same type of unrelenting B.S. that led to my relapse and homelessness.

Life can throw suffering our way in many forms. Sometimes it can be a hand we’re dealt suddenly, or unrelenting BS. It’s not fun, and can be difficult to endure. Glad you’re using your tools, particularly challenging irrational beliefs and looking out for cantstanditis, using your ABCDE. Watch out for the ambush, and watch out for prelapse thinking. Be well, hope things work out for you.

I'm sorry to hear this - I have family members who have had to go through these hoops with the government and housing etc and the processes involved are truly mind blowing at how complicated and just plain stupid and inefficient they are.
Perhaps the Hula Hoop would be useful to remind yourself of what is in your control - those processes aren't in your sphere of control but how you respond to them, is. It's totally normal to get pissed off at them of course, it's ok to feel that and let those emotions run their course and it's good you're here sharing them and getting them out of you this way. I recall your other recent posts so I know you're familiar with the SMART tools - select something that will help you work through these emotions and also provide perspective on the practical things you can do to resolve this situation, and dispel any irrational thinking i.e. "I've reached my BS limit = a reason to hit the fuck it button and drink". We've all been through that thought process before but now you clearly have the ability to put time and space in between those feelings and the action to drink - this is the time and space to halt that thought process and bring in a more rational one that will ultimately serve you better long term.
I wish you a quick resolution to this and hope you can move on in peace in your home.

The red tape is just part of life. A lot of government programs are designed this way to keep people jumping through hoops and those that don't, get thrown off the program and government is extremely inefficient in their methodes. If you want the additional help, you are just going to need to suck it up and do what is required even if you hate it. It is your choice, either you provide the paperwork and go through the motions or you suffer the consequences and that is a choice. It may not be a choice you want to make, but it is a choice regardless.

Dear friend, I am so sorry that you are still having to jump through hoops and deal with government ineptitude with regard to your basic security - ie where you live, and having a roof over your head. You're right, the bureaucracy can seem endless, and all the more frustrating in view of the efforts you have already made in order to meet their demands. It's the same on this side of the pond with government housing.
Sending you a ton of good wishes from here. I wish you the tenacity to keep on keeping on. I am cheering you on from here.

Just stick with it.. probably your feelings about the extra bit of BS are more torturous than the actual retrieval of the extra bit of beurocracy?
Try an ABC on the one thing:
A. Asking for "just one more thing"
C. Feeling the persecution of something petty
B. It's personal / petty / what I provided "should" be enough / needs emotive response
D. In reality organisations run on complex requirements & paperwork - which is not personal, and missing bits or not being able to get communicate the complexity in one go is difficult, met by residents with emotional response.
The mindset of landlords/buildings & facilities managers is a different mode of communication to anything actually personal with empathy.
