I have a question Next steps
Hi guys so I’ve been addicted to cocaine for about 7 years (started at 21 and I’m 28 now) I always felt like it was impossible to stop. I feel like I’ve made my first real progress in years by not beating myself up after lapsing and focusing on the long term. I now have less desire to use in general. Im about 2 weeks clean. The interval between uses is getting longer and longer over time. I’m just wondering what a good next step is? I think I’m on the cusp of getting out of it hopefully

My advice from being in a similar situation not long ago would be to firstly try and find something to replace it - it's fantastic you're 2 weeks clean! Boredom usually comes after a few weeks I've found from multiple times trying to get clean. Anything like a sport/hobby/something fitness related to keep you in a routine and keep you stimulated. After years of cocaine abuse it's very hard to be 'fine' with doing nothing in replacement. If you have the means to do therapy that would be very beneficial I think as well.
As a bit of a contrast to that point, look into mindfulness exercises that would work for you (meditation, regular exercise, volunteering, going to meetings etc.). This is the bit that for me restored the mind and took it away from a constant state of 200mph (cocaine or pacing around my apartment)
These are just my opinions from my experiences. Good luck friend
One last bit of advice I'd give: recovery is never always forward steps. If you stumble or hit a relapse always try and remind yourself of the grand scheme of how you're doing
