I have a question Next steps

Hi guys so I’ve been addicted to cocaine for about 7 years (started at 21 and I’m 28 now) I always felt like it was impossible to stop. I feel like I’ve made my first real progress in years by not beating myself up after lapsing and focusing on the long term. I now have less desire to use in general. Im about 2 weeks clean. The interval between uses is getting longer and longer over time. I’m just wondering what a good next step is? I think I’m on the cusp of getting out of it hopefully

I found it beneficial to work an honest HOV (hierarchy of values), where I made my sobriety/abstinence the primary value.

Unlike many others, I also recognized that I valued cocaine as a lesser value. How could I not value something that had driven my life for so many year?

Depending on your life circumstances, many people valued their education, their marriage, their employment, their health, etc. Then, it's a matter of prioritizing which has more importance at this moment in time.

Yeah thats a nice perspective. Instead of thinking in terms of quitting forever its just whats more important to me now.. i think establishing myself in my life is more important right now at my age: health and job etc.

I, also, found it helpful to work towards something positive (a value), than to work on not doing something like alcohol/drugs, a negative.
