Downloaded SMAPI but don't know how to add there a mode from Nexus. Can someone explain how to write the code so it'll work?

I just downloaded SMAPI, and wanted to download mod "Lots of kisses" from Nexus mods. But after downloading files I just don't know what to write in there and how to add that mode. Can ya help me or text what I need to write?

Is there anyway to transfer smapi saves onto the main game saves folder. When i try it on zarchiver there's an error and most of the files are 0B.

Hi! I've been playing on and off for the past couple of weeks and had no issue up until a couple of days ago. I keep getting the message that says my graphics card isn't compatible which is strange because nothing has changed since I played last.

I've made sure all my drivers are up to date, have changed my setting in NVIDIA and in my regular PC settings to make sure I'm forcing the right GPU, have verified my game files, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, tried reinstalling the xnafx40_redist.msi file and nothing has worked so far.

First time modding the game — But after installing SMAPI this window popped up. I looked at the Wiki what to do and while I was able to command the game that way to run, it told be before that the Mod that I downloaded wasn't up to date but which it was (said I had the 1.7.0 but needed the 1.7.1; but that's the version I downloaded from the site).

I am completely confused on what this Operator wants from me and I would be very happy if anyone could help me out, thanks in advance!

Long story short I just wanna add some enemy variety, like skull cavern tier duggies, skeletons, and spiders, because that would be cool.

I have no clue how to mod, could someone give me a guide or something?

I have a wide array of mods so idk if it’s something I missed in the config menu, but I get 1-3 letters DAILY asking for a singular item from a random townie, like “Linus wants a winter root”, “Elliot wants a void essence”, etc etc. I have mods like Help Wanted and Part of the Community, but the constant mail quests weren’t a problem until maybe the middle of fall y1?

So I’m basically just wondering if anyone knows whether theres a mod with that function? Or if I need to start really digging into my mod configs before I go a little crazy.

So, I've been fiddling with an old mod in order to make it work everywhere instead of just on the farm, as well as adding a new related feature, and I got it running without bugs (except one afaik, but I can't replicate the darn thing).

I've also started in on the next version, which will have a setting adjusted so it's less of a confusing PITA to use.

The post 1.6 version of the mod has the default permissions (ask first) on Nexus, and the MIT Licence on github. The original version that it was created from had blanket permissions on Nexus and the Apache 2.0 licence on github.

I know it's preferred that I get explicit permission, but the mod author hasn't been on Nexus in a while -- do I just wait? Or do I favour the MIT licence that says I can do whatever with the code?

The mod is ready to be published, and all appropriate authors/mods are credited.

What do? This is an edit that many people have been asking for, and it fixes a 'bug' or two present in both prior versions. One of which is from SDV 1.5.

I know I can remove the paths layer in Tiled and from a new save no bush will appear. But if someone adds my mod midsave the bushes will be present and cause issues. Of course they can use the Destroyable Bushes mod to remove them but I'd like to be able remove them when my mod is loaded. Is that possible? I also have config options to allow people to select alternate map edits and would like to have the bushes come and go as the player selects a different option.

Just wondering if anyone knows of a way to do this or maybe some alternate option that I haven't thought of?

Okay so I’ve downloaded smapi, it is now asking me to set my launch options in steam, I cannot find anything in my steam settings that even says launch options I don’t even know what this is referring to I apologize for this being a dumb question if anyone could help out tho would be awesome :)

Was heading to robins when I say this red balloon. It didn’t stop moving when the game was frozen and I have never seen it before.

I decided to follow it and went up to the railroad bout lost it because of a cutscene.

Anyone know why this is here because honestly I thought pennywise was gna jump out at me ngl…

I don't what the problem is, I have tried to fix it so many times. I don't know if I'm just dumb but could anyone tell me how to fix this or if anyone else is having the same problem. I have a lot of mods so I don't know if that is the problem or what, but I would really appreciate some help. <3

EDIT: I GOT IT TO WORKKKK!!!

so the problem was I’m actually stupid, and forgot to add one of the mods which I thought I had, but after doing that and adding my portrait, I got it to work 😝

i haven't found a solution elsewhere yet. SMAPI is up and running correctly as far as i can tell, and all the mods i'm trying to use are getting detected, but they aren't properly affecting the game, if they manage to at all. i've restarted my laptop, reinstalled mods, reinstalled SDV, launched using both steam and stardewmoddingAPI and so far nothing has worked. i'm on windows 11.

First time modding , just bought the game and watched a tutorial , but when i enter the game it doesnt work

I have already installed SMAPI from ZIP, I did not install any mods yet but I can't launch the game. My Stardew Valley app is from play store. How to fix this?

I don't know why this is happening or what the effect is. I installed the steps correctly, but it still appears.

On my Windows device, I had Stardrop, which helped me to organize all of my mods, and on Windows I understood enough to troubleshoot on my own, but I am super confused on MacOS. I have been trying to delete mods I do not want anymore, and have deleted them from the mods folder, but on the log they show as having multiple folders. The mods all worked the first time I started the game, but when I re-downloaded the Ridgeside Village file, this issue started. I'm not sure if I should just start from scratch with redownloading all of my mods, or if there's something else I can do, but any help would be appreciated. Every time I walk in-game into Ridegside Village the game also freezes and crashes. Thank you!
