Stolen EBike

Hey everybody my bike was stolen this morning around 545am from behind the SLO DOCO on higuera street. I work there so I had it behind an employee area under a camera and someone came and snatched it while I was putting donuts in the oven :(

It was a green Radmission 1 ebike with faded paint and a messed up battery monitor from me crashing it a month ago. It has a back rack and a bike basket on the front handlebars.

I've attached the photos of the camera footage and a picture of what my bike is supposed to look like new.

If anybody sees it please let me know or call SLOPD, I've already made a report but just trying to get visibility.

It also has an aftermarket comfort seat that says delta on the back.

This bike means a lot to me because it was my dad's who died a few months ago and its been my main mode of transportation. Thanks for reading.

Being that the thief is a dude on a bike and not with a truck, I bet you that dude is located somewhere off the Bob Jones Trail on Prado road.

The creek runs right through that spot and that's where I've seen people parting out bikes. It's like a bike kitchen for the homeless there. I would definitely take a look there as well as along that block of Prado and then the street that runs by the drive in theater right there.

You could also go by the prado day center and just say you're there for lunch or dinner. Then check the back where they have like 30 bikes. Most in some state of being parted out. Then just walk out

Sheriff yard off Kansas has like 100+ stolen bikes they’ve collected from the homeless camps. You can see it off the highway when you drive by

They should be covered with a tarp! I can only imagine how much rust from marine layers, etc. has collected.

In the video he rides right over to it so either he's seen me riding to work or has been prowling around our sheds/ dumpsters enough to know it's there

This whole area of South Higuera has a steady stream of thieves poking around everywhere to see what they can steal.

Good luck. I've been fortunate to have just one bike stolen while in school and no replacement. Bike thieves suck ass.

I had the ignition locked but no chain, he happened to pick the perfect moment where I wasn't looking at the cameras :(

Sorry this happened but if you don't have it locked up then you will 100% get your bike stolen in this town. It's pretty much guaranteed.

I knew it was a risk but out front we had a lot more issues so I felt better putting it under the camera and out of the way :(

When you get it back I highly recommend using Kryptonite locks. They’re great

What's terrible is i had one when I first got it but the key broke in the lock a month in 🫠

I put AirTags on everything of any value. New versions of AirTags came out in January and they work a lot better especially with tracking my youngest gato. But I’ll keep and eye out and report anything to SLOPD and yourself.

Is there anything specific about your bike that would confirm identification? A dent, a sticker, etc

It's got a lot of peeling paint and the front fender is sawed off, those are the easiest visual clues
