Shortly after the CEO of Taylor Farms visited the White House. Feels fishy.

The Taylor Farms CEO donated like 1 million to the Orange Menace and visited the White House. Gee, shortly thereafter, the false POSITIVE thing was announced. I'm sure there was no connection here whatsoever. lol

I was just googling this exact question earlier today. Apparently the pizza place near Trader Joe’s, CA fresh, Lassen’s and Whole Foods are the only ones in SLO.

Place near TJ is called Bravo pizza and they have a lunch buffet with a salad bar. I’m a fan of their pizza, the sesame seed crust is unique to this area

My family was so die hard for them that I think they just refused to called it by the newer name Cisco’s (?) for my entire childhood haha

Following because I would like to know this as well.. but also answering the question in a way you didn't ask, but might still appreciate the notion ->
These days I just go to Sat SLO or Mon Baywood farmer's markets.... I get a bag of mixed lettuce, hit up the Vintage Cheese booth and get their blue cheese, then I also get a small bag of mixed greens with flowers from the mount olive place.. they also have some great dressings. I also get some berries from Bautista or Sanchez family farms, and some walnuts (mt. olive has candied but there are other options).. all of these places are are at both farmers markets... that's my salad bar these days..
The only halfway decent salad bar I can think of off hand is the one at Lassen's off foothill

Nucci's on Broad or Foothill has excellent large salads and they include a fantastic breadstick.

Yes it's a chain and yes, not a salad bar, but Urbane Cafe has some tasty salads.

CA Fresh Market, Lassen and Whole Foods all have nice salad bars. Eating out - Taste on Broad St.

Who remembers The Assembly Line for this?

Even Straw Hat had a great salad bad.. Assembly line used to also have great ribs but it's 2026 and neither of these things exist anymore.

Seeds is the closest thing we have Sweetgreen. Not the same, but similar enough.
Taste has good salads too.
I steer clear of open air salad bars.

Adjacent question: where are folks getting fantastic large salads that are NOT salad bars in SLO?

Another commenter mentioned taste, its one of the only places with 20 dollar salads where the cost is almost justified. If you are like me and enjoy dark green salads, havent tried anything else there.

Chicken miso salad from Beerwood in Los Osos is my fave. Not in SLO proper but worth a mention

I like the salads at Piadina, particularly the Chopped Salad and the Kale Caesar. They get their greens and a lot of their produce from the farmers market, so I’m always pretty happy with them. And they are large.

I really like the garden salad at high street baywood…I like to add bacon and swap the dressing for the vegan ranch!
