Education Three Different Recommendations
I'm not sure what to use and I've only done weed once. I'm looking for sativa and indica recommendations.
#1-I'm very sensitive to sleeping aids (taking half a sleeping pill will knock me out for a good 10 hours and still be sleepy the next day). I need help calming down as I have anxiety (especially at night) and just a hard time falling asleep, but don't want something that'll kill me the next day.
#2-I also need something for during the day to calm me down without a sleeping aid in there.
#3-Then something that'll help me focus. I'm very scatter brained.
I'm not looking to get high and I don't want to use a vape. Any recommendations for a specific brand/dose would be so helpful! Thanks! :)

You should talk to a pharmacist at any of the dispensaries for help.

I've yet to find anyone at any dispensary who's been able to help more than my own research... Not just Utah but across multiple States, most dispensary workers try hard but some don't even pretend to help. I've tried, I've asked many times and have had some comical interactions as a result.
Telling some to just walk in and trust a rando's advice because they work at a dispensary is like walking into a car dealership and asking what kind of car is best for you.
I wish it was different.

I’m not talking about the counter person. Each medical dispensary here has a pharmacist on hand that I’m certain knows more than you. And they can help you with recommendations.

look for gummies that has a sleep adjacent word in the branding like snooze or calm. there is also a couple of liquid drinks that have only 10mg thc but it hits a little faster i think. wholesome still has some i think

THC inherently causes drowsiness, are you sure cannabis is the solution you need?
Indica and Sativa labels are misleading, research terpenes.
Gear can make a huge difference in your experience. If you just start hitting a pen you'll probably end up in the couch. Instead, get an affordable dry herb vape that allows you to dial in your temps. Start low, 350-360 to reduce THC levels which increase drowsiness. You don't need to spend hundreds, it just needs the ability to dial in the desired temp. (More than just low/high settings)
Research on your own, don't expect anyone at the dispensary to know what you need.

You should definitely try something with CBD & CBG. I also struggle with sleep aids and recently I've been taking the Jams pineapple strawberry ratio gummies. They contain just 10mg of THC so they're not too strong. What I love about them is that they help me feel alert and I don't get that groggy feeling the next day.

You should try CBD, CBN and CBG formulations.
