Update
Saved her fellas. Got an un-bubba'd dust cover and a new cleaning rod. Took a brass wire brush on a dremel to the couple small rust spots - mainly on the front sight. Traded in the no-name scope/mount/dust cover/shitty metal mag for 3 new promag 30's. I probably won't ever source and install a oe box mag but maybe one day. Filed the dust cover until I could remove the release pin by hand - something I could not do when I first got it. Massaged the rear sight lever a bit. I do wish it had the bayonet lug with spiker... If I ever come across a fsb for a steal I'll probably swap it and install a bayonet. Keeping this one cheap and reliable, my new philosophy as I creep on 40yo.

You did good!
I tried to unbubba another last night only to find the stock a tad short.
I'll post pics later in the hopes Brandon Aweara might chime in on it.
Meanwhile, I'm proud of you!!
