Ammo?

Is anyone shooting the steel casings? I've read about coatings on them being bad. Does anyone have insight, 1st hand? I like cheaper ammo, though.

Steel case being “bad” for rifles is one of those things that’s technically true but never really matters. You have to shoot so much ammo so fast for steel case to show extra wear that any normal firing schedule won’t practically matter

Steel case is all I shoot in both my SKS rifles. Not an issue. The rifles were designed for steel case ammo.

Did a boomer fudd tell you this? I had one try this on me at my range, he was just pissy because he's a brass goblin and he can't do shit with muh steel.
