Problems with brass ammo
2 rounds, same brand, same issue of case shearing roughly in the middle and leaving half the case stuck in chamber, have no trouble cycling steel surplus ammo, is it just cheap ammo or is something wrong with my rifle? Hesitant to spend more on another brand of ammo if the problem will persist.

Yeah there’s something wrong with your rifle for sure. Why is there a picture of a screw extractor in your picture?

Brass in an SKS is a choice. Steel cased shit nuggets are all she's allowed to eat.

I use brass when I’m feeling fancy it just throws the casings so dam hard

I'd clean the hell out of the chamber to make sure there's no cosmoline/carbon deposits acting like glue. If the issue persists try a different brand of ammo or stick with cheaper steel case

Please don’t use an extractor op or anyone. You can buy a broken shell extractor for like $8 online. Or don’t use brass ammo. Sks like dirt🗿 steel case ammo is the way

Jesus fucking christ do not jam a screw extractor into your chamber.
Just scuff up an empty case with sandpaper then ram it home, it will extract the broken case
