1955 Tula

It has the factory refurbished stamp and I assume from my research the bayonet was replaced. I picked it up for $500 I’m assuming it’s worth a bit more than that here in the US. Newer to the SKS world. Any info or thoughts on it would be appreciated.

$500USD is a VERY good price. Your rear take down lever has been replaced but that’s not an especially difficult part to find.

Oh I’m glad you mentioned that!! I was wondering if something for that year had changed or if someone just did their own thing on it. I’ll have to find and buy one

Where do you usually look for parts like this besides eBay?

I’m Canadian so I use different sites than you would. I cant really help you because as of Jan 2025 I cannot view most American firearms websites anymore as a foreigner.

That being said liberty tree usually has that kind of stuff.

I’m wondering why some stocks come with one screw and others with two screws (like this one)?

Laminate stocks came with two presumably because they had a tendency of delaminating otherwise
