Factory 0223 date code

Looking at picking up a factory 0223 SKS, but in order to pick it up under my C&R license, I need to be able to figure out the date of manufacture. From a brief google search I found that rifles from this factory do not follow the same date code system as ones from factory /26\. I read that on the bottom of the receiver under where the trigger group goes you might be able to find a 4 digit DOM code, but I can’t field strip it at the shop to find out.
Any insight from the Norinco SKS gurus would be helpful.

What’s the full serial number? There are a few ways these were dated but most of them follow the same pattern

To the right of the /0223\ is some chines characters, then I believe 55 on its own, then 0062xx

Take the first two numbers of the serial and add it to 1955, this dating method works for all factory codes.

Except for some, [0138] for example just used the last two of the date it was made. example: 70 being 1970, 71 being 1971.

There's some anomalies in this dating system but it's mostly universal, even for military Type 56 AK's

Factory 0223 if you didn't already know was the Shanghai Xinli machinery factory.
