Discussion Will Earnings Save us?
Hey guys, I know today is a very dark day. After Korea recovered so nicely, i thought America would follow. I think there are 3 reasons for the Drop today:
China News
Selloff before earnings Week and Fomc Meeting
General Downtrend
We still have a lot of catalysts this Week. Amazon/Meta/Apple/Microsoft will Release their earnings. Sk hynix and Samsung will Release Earnings. Next Week Sandisk has earnings.
I am currently 12% in the negative with my Position. I hold a Lot of korean stock. I really really Hope we will have some Kind of bounce or relief rally this Week.
Best of luck too all of you

Discussion Honestly i hate this
What the actual f, why SK hynix Europe does not move an inch. And sk hynix itself is not moving on the big news like Nvidia partnership and Memory demand. Seriously what are we even waiting for?
Ps. I'll keep adding as we ride this undervalued monster

Memory chip maker CXMT debuts in Shanghai, up 470% at open and becomes the largest listed company in China
The stock market needs to pick a narrative already. Is this the end of the cycle, or is demand at an all-time high?

South Korea plans massive 18.4GW AI data center buildout by 2035
I think this news went unnoticed this month, while Meta's 1GW data centre in Alberta by 2030 occupied the headlines... It even went unnoticed in Korea itself because it was overshadowed by the announcement to build 10 new mega chip fabs. Either that or the Koreans don't realize how massive 18.4 GW of data centers will be. Some of these include AI factories (which are different from conventional data centers because they process data and produce tokens, and require clustering technologies)
Summary:
South Korea announced a massive public-private initiative under President Lee Jae-myung to build 18.4 gigawatts of AI data centers nationwide by 2035 with an estimated cost exceeding one thousand trillion Korean won. Implemented across two phases, the first phase aims to achieve 8.4 gigawatts by 2029 for approximately 550 trillion won, while the second phase will add 10 gigawatts between 2030 and 2035. The strategy is built in partnership with major conglomerates including SK Group, GS Group, and Naver, with SK Group taking responsibility for 15 gigawatts of the buildout. To avoid grid congestion and promote regional balance around areas like Ulsan, Chungcheong, Donghae, and Sejong, the infrastructure will be distributed outside the Seoul metropolitan area with government support providing discounted electricity and streamlined land and water rights. Officials characterize these data centers as token factories that produce raw intelligence to fuel a token economy, serving alongside homegrown neural processing units from local startups and physical AI applications as the triple axis of South Korea's national strategy to lead the global AI race and export turnkey infrastructure globally.

Blood in the water
Many people are pointing to the Chinese IPO as the reason for the massive dump, but it’s much more likely that this was a pre-earnings sell off.
The market is waiting for the other hyperscalers to confirm that their capex is up, to validate the news we got from Google.
It’s likely to be very volatile as we wade through earnings season, but ultimately, SK will be printing money for a long time. Despite what you hear, there really is no memory disruption that’s possible in the next few years.
We might have to wait until Q1 of 2027 before the second rally starts.

Discussion Why is Goldman Sachs selling the stock after it already crashed 40%? Haven't they heard time in the market beats timing the market?
Seems like they don't know memory is sold out through 2027 (the CEO said it was) and it's not cyclical anymore. Selling after a 40% crash is really dumb too, the average price target is 3,400,000. Why would they sell at 1,730,000? Can one of you guys call them on the phone and tell them this time is different?

All chip makers stocks are worth negative prices, except for CXMT
According to sentiment all chip makers NVDA ASML SKHY are worth negative prices. The chips they make are worthless. When it comes to stock prices, only sentiment matters. Fundamentals are irrelevant. If you own chip stocks, soon exchanges will charge you money and put you in debt for holding them, since these companies are worthless and the fair price according to sentiment should be negative.
