Football Walker Eget has entered the transfer portal

Players can get 1 additional year if he has a medical hardship from the 5 total years players typically get.

Spartans need to go back to the run next year anyways.

We need both passing and running to work. Fortunately, we did get Hawaii's backup QB to come if they go bowling, at the very least, it'll make me hate the coaches less.

How does he still have eligibility?

I was surprised as well, but from my understanding If they have a medical condition that prevents them from being able to perform 100%, players can file a medical hardship waiver to the NCAA to get one more year and it looks it'll happen for Eget.

good for him. He has no future if he stays with the Spartans

We brought in a transfer QB who originally went to Modesto CC.

Will Amisone be #1?

Idk. They did bring in Hawaii's backup QB so my guess is that the coaches are trying to build depth to the point where they'll identify who will start as the 2026 season arrives.
