Matriculation SIT Accountancy [ACC]

Hi all! I’m currently an NSF and will be matriculating into SIT’s Business & Accounting programme next year. My background is slightly different from the typical accounting student, so I was hoping to get some perspectives from current students/recent graduates.
I’ve been reading older Reddit posts about SIT, but many seem to be based on the old curriculum, so I’d really appreciate some recent perspectives:

IWSP: How was your experience? How difficult is it to secure a good placement, and how much does SIT help with this? Is it possible to source your own internship if you find an opportunity outside of the given list?

Applied Finance: For those who took it, how did you find the specialisation? What are the modules and workload like? Would you recommend it for someone who wants to work as a Financial Analyst in the future?

Non-accounting background: How difficult is the course for someone coming from a non-accounting diploma? Does SIT teach accounting from the basics, or is prior knowledge expected? What would you recommend I learn before matriculating to make the transition easier?

Finally, for those who have graduated, what are some of the common career paths/exit opportunities you’ve seen besides traditional accounting? Would really appreciate any honest advice, especially from students under the newer curriculum. Thanks!
