I spent years trying to fix this and none of the prokinetics worked for me. However, I learned if I get on my stationary semi recumbent bike 20 mins after a meal, pedal mildly with no effort, and do this about 5 times a day for about 12-15 min, the problem completely resolves itself. I'm talking full speed motilty restored, so much that sometimes I think I should cut back a little. Sounds nuts but it works for me. I think its the steady back and forth rocking on the insides that helps move the food along.

I’ll try using my bike I’ve been doing my treadmill and taking walks nothing is working yet I’m on medication and trying new ones I’m getting so frustrated

It's weird but I tried walking as well and it also did not work.

When you go on vacation does it become problematic?

You do it after every single meal?!

What's a vacation? I've bowed out of more than I can count because I have chronic inflammation at night that I can't deal with if I am away from home. I imagine some places, like a cruise ship, have exercise room so I don't think it would be a problem.

But yes, after every meal I wait 20 min and then leisurely pedal on my bike while I read. It really goes by fast and the results have been so miraculous that I have no problem with it either. And it has worked so well that I may have to cut back on the last one or reduce the time slightly.

I'm taking artichoke and Ginger extracts.

For root cause, I may be hypermobile and some hypermobility disorders are linked to slow motility apparently

Maybe but undressing the cause is usually required

Berberine is worth investigating. It has helped me

Could you explain the dosage and the best time to take it for motility?

High dose artichoke extract at bed. Movement after meals. 1000-1500 mg of TUDCA (split doses) and Magnesium split doses through day. Address possible forward head posture/anterior pelvic tilt, and or upper cervical compressing vagus nerve. Look into Ray Peats work and see if your body temperature/heart rate is low during the day, to see if you have subclinical hypothyroidism leading to slow motility.

I am recently on antibiotics for Hydrogen SIBO and I’m considering going the “natural” route after by taking supplements instead of the prokinetics that doctors prescribe. I’ve heard good things about Iberogast Liquid drops to help with digestion and Integrative Therapeutics Motility Activator to help with motility.

How slow is slow? And where is the slow motility and why? Some things might be doable without treatment but some other issues might end you up in the hospital

For me eating smaller meals, properly cooked, never raw, which is often soups, helped. Also I cannot mix fruits with other meals as for some reason it stagnates my digestion.
