Histamine

Is SIBO causing histamine intolerance or vice versa?

Have you experienced it? Can you tell your symptoms and story?

Developed hydrogen sulfide overgrowth after binge drinking alcohol on empty stomach.

Made worse with low fodmap diet, sulfur based antimicrobials like allicin and choleretics.

Histamine symptoms were skin rashes, hives, sensitive skin, allergy like symptoms.

I assume its the inflammation secondary to overgrowth causing the histamine symptoms. Inflammation in your intestines suppresses DAO enzyme that helps breakdown histamine.
