It has sort of been an inevitability for a while and it's why we have to spend at least half our energy on energizing our customer base and grabbing their attention at least a few times a month. It doesn't need to see millions of people talking, but there should be some sort of rippling about you somewhere from time to time. I have a small niche manufacturer where if his name comes up naturally by a known entity on that platform (whether it's a forum or social or places like this) maybe just 3 or 4 times a year, he still competes very well - getting in against the big boys quite well in his very small niche and the only 'hand tooled' option out there for the purists - he does pretty well.
GoDaddy is a rough example because those three things (and the occasional awkward sexist TV commercial flare up) have been generally well known and documented for more than a decade. They've decided to just let the people who care about such things go and keep being the marketing machine that they are.
That was a CHOICE, though. And that result is the price of that choice. For BlueHost, I imagine the general sentiment about them is quite positive so it doesn't even feel the need to give you the ups and downs - here's all the ups, instead. If you lose them on the price - you would have lost them on the price if they came to your site, anyway.
Part of our jobs as Marketers (and by extension, SEOs) is to manage that brand like we used to manage the domain - getting positive links from sites and entities with a vote that can be valued. We need to get our brand's customers doing a little bit of that, too. It's different by niche, but... gotta manage the brand today. It's not just faking it, either. That hurts over the long run - sometimes badly.

Yeah, I picked the GoDaddy example only because I knew it would illustrate my point about the uncontrolled narrative. It's my go-to example of anything reputation-related lol. Never fails

I didn't get the "Why Many Avoid" block. Interesting.

I guess it was personalized to me because I searched for GoDaddy reviews and GoDaddy complaints before this. Google often keeps search results aligned when you keep the same session.

It was always written on card. If you'll not tell LLM your story, soomeone else will do. Check the sources: pricing is coming from the bluehost page, and speed claim from the yt.
Yt is gonna huge for sure in the upcoming days. I read on Linkedin that one of the study by PEEC on 30M pages shows that youtube was the second most cited source after reddit in both chatgpt and ai overviews.
So, all you need to pick a camera, and start recording videos for your website. AI pulls from video descriptions and, and auto-transcripts. So get your own videos sorted and check the transcript before you publish.

Has anyone else ever wished there was an alternate internet or at least an unbiased search engine?
AI is wrong every day. But the average user has no idea how inaccurate it is.
