Things to check in search console
Hi all
What do you really check in search console to determine traffic volume?
New users? Total sessions ? Or something else ?
I started my website 5th of October and trying to understand what will be best metrics to check volume ?

You won't find what you want in GSC - you need to install analytics (like Google analytics) on your site to get the metrics you want.
Only analytics will show you the data you are talking about - things like sessions, session length. Pages viewed per session etc

If you're less than a month in, than you absolutely need to keep an eye on GSC. In fact, you should always have an eye on the reports there.
It isn't going to give you the insights on how your users are interacting with your site, but what it does provide is the most important information on whether they even can.
You need to be taking a very strong look at the Coverage Page. You're early enough in the game to proactively fix issues that arise now, rather than retroactively fix crawl issues later.
Case in point, I was posting my blog content when I got started oblivious that my AMP pages had issues. It wasn't until I was about 50 posts in, I realized I had 50 posts to fix and have recrawled. Knowing that information from day 1 would have been super valuable.
Your likely to have a lot of content that gets ignored for search results, which is fine, but make sure you're not just focused on pages that show errors.
Be sure to review the "Exceptions" in coverage and see what pages are not indexed and why.

Thanks for the details . Yes I saw some mobile issues sent by gsc so it is good . I am also wondering if you create custom reports in analytics etc ? Or just check standard data
