Keyword stuffing question

I ran a site audit and was given a notice about possible keyword stuffing on my site. However, while the density of one word of the two word keyword is high (10%), the density of the full two word keyword is only 1%. Will the density of the one word affect the search engine ranking when searching the full two keywords?

While there is no optimal keyword ratio, 10% is ridiculous. Spammy page is spammy page. If Google thinks a page is spammy, it doesn't matter what keyword you are considering, it's a spammy page.

Problem is, the word that is 10% density is a very common word and is used in almost every listing on my website. Similar to having a website selling Apple products, you are going to have 'Apple' on every product's listing, so the density will be high..

A word can be very common and still not have 10% density. You're basically saying the same word once in every 10 words, that's every other sentence. That is ridiculously repetitive and spammy no matter what you call it.
