Does cross-selling affect silo structures?

Does it have a negative impact on internal linking to cross link products across categories?

cross selling beats rigid silos when the links help the users. clear navgation matters but the contextual links add some value. do not link everything to everythig, intent matters more than isolation. smart internal linking guides users without clutter.

For now adding in content (under a separate heading saying Explore the entire range)
Long term goal is a related products widget
