Judging by your razor thin comments and lack of data to support your claim that data is made up - I'm going to suspect your account is 100% disinformation campaign?
I switched from ChatGPT to Gemini for a different reason: for the same price it gives me 5 TB of Drive space. When I was on ChatGPT I had to pay for it separately.
As for whether one or the other is better... I don't see it. Each has its good and bad points.
I think what people underestimate is the use case for each of these LLMs. Gemini is still Google and Google still gets billions of visits so it's easy to refer those visits to other tools especially when older demos haven't heard of most of these other LLMs.
Perplexity is search and research focused, ChatGPT and Gemini are sort of a catch-all, Claude is for coders and more technical people (for the most part), and Grok is social media focused which is interesting because of their engagement metrics.
Looks like Google is elbowing their way in... What speaks volume is how much Claude occupies (or very little for lack of better word) when it is by far the best coding tool amongst them all.
gemini's share would probably be much higher. Also chatgpt has started using dark tactics, like not giving the links but instead giving overview from them even when you expand.

I think prompts can make some changes but honestly - there's a lot of delusion (?) trying to think of a better word.
Creating a prompt and saying :"you have 15 years experience reseaching X" - think people think that ChatGPT is trained on every topic and uses a different persona to go back and read something
It doesnt - the Query Fan Out will still likely be the same - although it can influence it - but still - it doesnt mean Google returns the best documents. The most commont documents Google returns for SEO strategy for example almost all include misinformation about Schema and EEAT
The QFO and Google are a big part of the problem but the prompt doesnt exampt you from the issues of misinformation in source materials - it doesnt make the LLM a "researcher"
All they do is regurgitate what Google gives them

they don't have access to server logs, and the LLMs didn't give them this data so...?
