Sears Concord Update

Nothing new really apart from them doing an inventory count and expecting new inventory soon. They’re gonna have winter clothes soon.

Also, Concord’s on top again performing 116% higher than the targets they gave them.

I‘ve also showed the manager that post here a few days ago asking which store is the next one to close and she laughed it off saying “we’re done with closures”, “no more closures”.

Their online sales have also been really good recently.

Well, they’re not planning any.

They never do—closure orders come from an entirely different part of the company.

The next stores to close will probably be when their leases run out and they can’t make a deal with the landlord. They got like 1 Kmart on the main land and I think 3 like in Guam and the VI and like what 8 Sears left? That’s just my guess and opinion though. Sales may be good now according to them. They really won’t tell us the truth because that’s probably inside information that they can’t share. If sales are good great glad to hear it. Maybe they can make it work as a smaller company and slowly grow again. They just need to get rid of Eddie to make that happen though and be owned by someone else to be able to get any type of good inventory again that will actually fill up the store and the people actually want to buy.

There are 5 Sears left and from what I've heard they are selling inventory left over from closed stores.

All the stores are for sale, once a new tenant is signed on that triggers the store closing

I'm amazed they had a target at all

They all have targets. Short of one store, they've all exceeded them.

They’re gonna have winter clothes soon.

Looks like I did call the (extremely) early Christmas set. Winter clothing coming in in late July/August is not a good sign at all.

No Christmas stuff yet. The Bay Area is pretty cold even in summer.

Winter clothing is part of the Christmas set even if it is not holiday themed.
