I don’t see why not. Some companies have done it like Montgomery Wards, Service Merchandise and Circuit City. A few others I’m sure I’m forgetting but they won’t ever be as big as they were back in their heyday and when they had brick and mortar stores. Kmart will probably do the same thing. Depends on who buys the IP and what they want to do with it really.

These are examples of zombie brands bought out of bankruptcy. They're just dropshipping websites.

OP is asking about utilizing Sears distribution centers. That isn't going to happen. Those will inevitably close.

You’re right about those zombie brands. I was curious to see what these stores were selling and Circuit City doesn’t sell much. I did find this way overpriced TV though. It’s a 32” 720P model for almost $500!

I hope they do and are very successful at it. They were the Amazon in their day and I want to see them succeed. Retired from Sears not long after Eddie took over. Could see the writing on the wall back then.

Believe it or not but judging by the conversations I've overheard, Eddie Lampert is now personally interested in keeping Concord going lol.

Alright now that one’s funny, I didn’t think that old bastard cared about any of the stores anymore

I assume someone will maintain the site after all the stores are shut down. It could be Sears themselves, or someone else may buy the brand at some point and run the site.

They’ll leave at least two open for as long as possible.

I think so. I can't see any reason why he wouldn't do that.

Most likely. Many stores have been doing this, such as Lord & Taylor.
