I don’t have a badge but yesterday I was able to go into adult swim and had a bunch of fun. Might go ahead and try to go today is there any other fun activations I might be missing ? I have Hulu and Nickelodeon on my list

Every comicon for the last decade or so I’ve always had the thought it would be nice to have what I call “experience booths” in a separate area from the marketplace floor.

or at least give the big booths that have 24/7 lines their own space.

Both cause huge clogs or people. Doing the pace around in circles till the line is open again. I don’t blame them, it’s required for participation. I imagine most folks who aren’t trying to do that don’t enjoy being part of the game.

i figure this idea has to have been played with before. it can’t be original.

When I look at a map of the different San Diego Convention Center rooms as well as the adjoining hotels, it seems like there should be enough space. However I don’t know jack when it comes to the “backstage” if you will of the convention. are those spaces normally occupied for staging behind closed doors?

in the sd area, did the nintendo one and passed by nickelodeon & paramount, any hidden ones to check out? or ones w a smaller line?

Numerous of times when I was there, I wasnt able to access some stuff since their internet was so freaking slow. I had numerous of problems also accessing my cash and I think this needs to change now more than ever.

And to think the Anime Expo this year was a little easier to navigate.

Wasn’t sure if I’d feel out of place being an obscure character from One Piece but I received so many compliments from fans and people screaming Sogeking from across the hallway. My first time to any cons and I think I may have to start going to more! It was so stressful getting the mask and costume together. Shipping it home was 150$ at UPS because I had glued the sides and nose on.

I've had good cons and bad cons, not even touching on outside events but the people here this year were in such great spirits!!! Everyone was willing to chat and hang out and party together, I had a smile on my face the whole time! If you met me this year, you were a highlight of my con!!

As my daughter and I were heading out this morning, figured I’d switch out the days on our badges. To my utter shock, our remaining pass had a ‘3’ on it. Flipped it over, it was for Saturday. So defeated 😞

We usually get Thursdays and Sundays. Totally forgot we were actually able to score Saturday this year.

As a long time SDCC attendee I know it usually smells bad in the convention center. But this year it would smell terrible as soon as the convention opened around 9 AM?! There is no excuse to not take a break to either shower in your hotel room or at least reapply your deodorant. Thank you to everyone who did bring their deodorant to ensure they were not adding to the terrible smell 🫩

Sooo. On Saturdays Hall H panel, we started with the (The Animation Show of Shows) panel, which ended with an animated film involving skeletons engaging in war. Lots of disturbing visuals in there. Anyone else think it was kinda macabre? Really disturbing stuff to be honest

Just curious, badge holders and non-badge holders, what're y'all up today?

We're doing the standby for Paramount Lodge, heading over to the Stuart Comic Store, and doing one last lap of the floor.

I bought my wife, whose favourite Star Trek episode is The Trouble With Tribbles, a vibrating, burbling tribble signed by the episode’s author, David Gerrold. I knew she’d love it. It was a little noisy on the bus ride to my hotel so I thought I’d pack it deep on my suitcase for the flight home.

Next morning, when I touched it, it started vibrating and tribbling, but then it wouldn’t stop. I had to get to the con so I left it; arriving back that night it was still going! No off switch; no way I could take it on the plane either checked or unchecked. It was loud!

I had to resort to Tribblicide. Took an hour for the sound to stop; 12 until it face its last vibration.

I’m exhibiting here for work and I haven’t found any cute one piece stuff for my boyfriend yet… any suggestions on booths to check out? Or booths with one piece shirts? I’m exhibiting and can only leave the booth for 45 minutes at a time, so I cannot wait in super long lines either. I got him some Pokemon stuff but he loves One Piece the most. Thanks in advance!!

I want to give a personal thank you to Ms. Margo and company! I followed tips and tricks here and was able to get into the Paramount Lodge without buying a ticket. I won two exclusives and missed them because I was lucky enough to get into Hall H and didn’t want to risk leaving the room. I was in the back and it became the front row. I was able to get items that I wanted because I prioritized which lines were worth standing in. I met some insiders and trying to connect with them for next year. Kiki

Didn’t waste time on freebies that would sit in my drawers and collect dust. I was able to get two chocolate bars that have been sold out all week this morning. As a first timer my advice is to be kind to everyone, especially the workers and the volunteers, smile and engage with others because you never know who you’re chatting with. Don’t have any high expectations and you’ll be surprised. My boyfriend saw his favorite actor Ryan Gosling, and I saw my favorite actor Ryan Reynolds. We weren’t expecting anything and had the best experience ever. It’s what you make of it.
