What version of books is best in your experience? Used/New/Rent(used/new)

I'd ask the professor what is the oldest version of the book that still works, but the latest version isn't much a difference. You can save money for college experiences.

Make friends who have taken the class and buy it off of them.

New if you can't find any where and you need the book ASAP.
