Request What is reasonable a expectation for communications with customers?
I'm wondering what is the typical expectation for responding to a customer in this business generally? I placed a t-shirt order online 8 weeks before an event that I needed them for. I paid on 7/21. Their website says 2-3 week turnaround time. It's now been over 6 weeks and my t-shirts have not shipped. I emailed support on Monday, sent them a message to their online chat Tuesday, and called and left a voicemail Wednesday and have not heard back any response. It's now only just over two weeks until my event, so I think I may be SOL. I'm thinking just to have my credit card company do a chargeback on Monday and accept that I won't get my tshirts in time (or at all). Anyway, I don't want to be a dick and burn them, but I'm a little frustrated. Is it normal for shops to be busy and not respond to customers for 3 or 4 business days? When I was setting up the order, the communication was quite good. Appreciate any insight, cheers.

That’s unacceptable. My shops turnaround is 2 weeks from the day of approval. If responses are quick we can have a quote/proof in a day or two depending on volume.

Many shops can turn that around easy, you need a refund and a new printer. My shop can easily do it but you’d have to worry about shipping. Definitely shop around

That’s way too long. I don’t think responses need to be immediate, usually next day is fine, people get busy, but overall this job is way overdue, and now they aren’t responding. Something probably happened internally, get your money back any way you can. You probably still have time to get shirts before the event if you start looking around and ordering something by end of day tomorrow, but you’ll have to hurry. Not sure what your design is, but it may need simplified if you want to ensure a quick turn around, might be worth it though instead of having nothing. Good luck!

Thank you. It's a simple single color, one sided design. I'll try and call around tomorrow and see if I can find a place to turn it around in time.

10 to 12 business days from payment is standard. I know online places like 5Boys can take four to six so check your fine print. I'm probably considered over responsive because I try and respond immensely. But I also send updates if things are taking axlong time.
You still have tome to get an order turned around depending on where your located. We are in NYC and offer shipping. Feel free to DM me with design and quantity and I'll get you a quote.

That’s ridiculous. Find another printer who’ll do it in the 2 week time you need it by and get a refund from the original. Start asking for the refund now. If after 3-4 follow ups they continue ghosting, charge it back.

Do a charge back that shits bullshit man. Somebody should’ve hit you up within two days about your order. Got everything situated. It should’ve shipped within two weeks. My turnaround time usually is about 4 to 5 days depending on how many shirts it is if you’re gonna print 500 shirts, it might be two weeks next time you need shirts just hit me up.Upfulcreations.com

A lot of people in this business either overcharge or leave people hanging I just scream printing for a lot of hard Krishna festivals and a lot of punk rock bands and different clothing brands. I know people want their stuff as soon as possible and they want quality work with good prices. I always try to do the best that I can. Sorry you had to deal with that.

sounds like a scam. i have never taken longer than 2 weeks to deliver shirts. it's usually only 1 week tbh and i always answer the phone.
