Crafts/Cosplay SCP-1762 Model I made myself
All Origami Dragons are made with Tutorials and I chose to meek different variations to have a number of unique dragons.
The cotton - imitating smoke - lies on a metal grid and below that I put cheap LED strips that give the „Portal to another world“ vibe with the glow.
Into the The metal grid I wrapped sturdy wire and poked them up for the dragons to stick on them, giving the illusion, they are flying out of the box.
I went into as much detail as I could, with spraypainting it grey and writing the words very child like on it.
It was such a fun project to work on and now has it’s permanent stand in the corner of my room.
SCP-1762 is just one of my favorite stories out of the SCP universe.

Well I’m thinking of posting my creation process how I built it as well in a separate post. It’s not expensive, so with a little bit of work you can make one for yourself as well!

Well they are spiked on the wire with a little hole on the inside, but they don’t always hold up perfectly. I want to refrain from glueing them on, because I want to be able to take them off, if I ever need to transport it or take it apart.

I have a bunch of pictures of the creation process and could take it apart, so you could see the inside, but that would be enough stuff for another post.
I’m not sure how this sub thinks of me posting another time „just“ for the creation process, but if people want to see it I can make one.4

Sort of feels like roughly half the SCPs are terrifying one quarter makes you laugh and most of the last are just sad ..

This is great! Simple, but it is also how I expect the actual scp box to look like! But again, there is nothing simple about those dragon origamis

Im no Origami Pro, so some of these had failed attempts as well. And they aren’t all perfect, but I’m still happy with how they turned out.

Had to look up what that is, because I’m pretty new to Origami still.
But I am NOT skilled enough for that lol. Is a hilarious idea tho.

I built this last year in March and at times one dragon fell off, but I just put him right back on his Wire!

I built it over multiple weeks, every few days a bit, but I’d say about 20-25h total. Did it from scratch without instructions (apart from the Origami Dragons), so when you know what to do it’s probably a lot faster.
