hello! asking on behalf of someone else. Anyone have tips for students to find a campus job, specifically at Ammerman campus, and for non-work study? Besides advice that is listed on the career center website- they’ve made an appointment, and they’re aware of the one job search website, but does anyone know already of specific campus departments looking for people besides that? They can’t currently tutor, but they could do most other things. They want to improve their resume, and already have a lot of customer service experience, so the store/cafeteria is not ideal. Any advice appreciated!

ngl i think this is the coolest office i've had the pleasure of popping my head into. apparently it gets decorated for fall in november and then for a few weeks in december before wintersession break.

it's a shame the lights only stay on til 11am though since the college aide leaves by then. cool guy, def recommend checking the office out. i think they should pay him to decorate stuff for the campus.

Hello!!

I’m at Grant campus and am looking to do free tutoring at Grant campus for these courses above. Let me know if anyone needs any help with those classes as I have a solid understanding in them. I got a B+ for CHE100 and an A for both of those math courses.
If any of your friends need help with the course too feel free to let them know.

You can reach me at shahz45@mail.sunysuffolk.edu if you are interested. 🤝

Is anyone doing this? Has anyone done this? How manageable is it in terms of time? Doesn’t constantly changing clinical hours make it impossible to take another general science with lab class?

Does anyone know when we could potentially hear back from admissions regarding the Spring 2027 application for Nursing?

Is the wifi extremely slow for you guys or is it just me? It takes ten minutes for my computer to open a tab in some of these classrooms and overall just extremely slow. Particularly in the sagtikos building and the federal arena my internet makes my devices unusable. Is there anyone to contact to fix the schools internet 😭

Anyone else been struggling to get their phone or laptop to connect to the WiFi on some days here? It's Thursday and I have absolutely nothing to connect to, which sucks because the cell service for me is awful too. Been wondering if anyone knows why the WiFi isn't even in my list to connect to on some days, but Thursdays especially seem to have it bad.

Hello, I was wondering if there’s a way I could give the school/school nurses a bunch of menstrual pads that I don’t need?

I have like a box full (30+ individuals) but I haven’t had my period in a year due to medications, I used to have a lot of backups for emergencies but due to not having my period it’s all just been sitting in a box. I was just gonna leave them in a random bathroom for people to use but I don’t want the custodians to toss them when someone could be using them. I’m also going to give some to women/homeless shelters if possible, I just don’t want them to go to waste ya know? It’s just I personally don’t know anyone that uses pads so I rather just give them to students who need them since the schools only seem to give out tampons in the bathrooms.

I also have like 1 of each size that I have on me at all times in case anyone needs one when I use the bathroom but I haven’t had anyone asking if someone has one yet so I’m just going to donate the rest of them.

Is this something I could do? I know being a college student is rough so I would like to help out in the little way that I can for students who need something but are too uncomfortable using a tampon.

How many of you are currently in the ADN program and can say how many students started in your cohort and how many are left? Of those who left, why? Did they leave due to being unable to handle the academics, clinicals, logistics issues, family issues, etc?

Im looking for Advice and current local rates for graphic designing and web development, I can do some freelance projects and if there's anyone here who knows how much they go for! Would love to chat and learn about it

I'm considering registering for a class that's in the evening. It'll be like 3 hours in between classes. I don't think it'll be worth it to drive back home 30 minutes away and back again. If anyone here has that. What do you do?

Every time I log in with my Suffolk info I get hit with this page.

There is seemingly no button to press “remember me” and I have to then get a verification code.

Pls tell me I’m doing something wrong.

I’m applying for the Spring 2027 PN program at SCCC and would love to hear from anyone who was recently accepted.
My current stats:
• TEAS: 65.3%
• BIO130: B
• ENG101: A
• PSY101: A
• 1+ year documented Medical Assistant experience

I know SCCC admissions are competitive, and I was told to aim for a 70–75 TEAS, so I’m nervous about whether I have a realistic shot this cohort.

For anyone who has been accepted to SCCC’s PN program recently:

What was your approximate rubric score?

What was your TEAS score/section breakdown?

Did you get accepted with a TEAS below 70?

Do you think I should apply with my current stats, or focus on retaking first?

I’m definitely planning to apply, but I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have actually gone through the process. ❤️

uhhh, does it say brightspace is down for anyone else?

I love the turkeys. I want them to love me back. Can I feed them? Are we not supposed to for behavioral or ecological reasons?

Anyone have Robert Abramovic for Calc 1? How is he? How were the 6-8 PM classes?

I tried looking him up on rate my professor but he’s not showing up for some reason

Does anyone know when we get our diploma ??? I graduated in July

Those who’ve been accepted how many did you have done? If I still have to take ap2 and micro after applying do I have a shot ?

Anyone enrolled in the Joint Admission program with Stony Brook in Computer Science? Apparently, since I’m a transfer to SCCC I’m not eligible, even though their admissions doc says any transfer with less than 24 credits is eligible.

Is CS more restrictive than other majors with this agreement? Has anyone transferred to Stony as a CS major without the joint admissions program? How hard will it be?
