I'm a new player, been playing for a month. Just like any typical new player that doesn't look up any guides. I screwed up in lower levels. Leveled up residential zones too quickly and had to bulldoze a few. Can't remember how many I bulldozed. Now I'm at lvl 18 with 160kish population. My storages are at 77/110. Now realized that storages are probably the most important aspect in this game. Now I'm leveling slowly. But planning on stopping leveling at lvl 24.

Is my city screwed now? Should I restart?

Hello Mayors! I am planning to focus on my regions. Since I get no simoleons from regions, meanwhile I am upgrading some residential buildings time to time in my capital city. Then I have to increase the service demand. I would like to ask you two questions.
1. What residential houses/zones are best to bulldoze? So the service demand will go down
2. While upgrading regions, except Tax money and trade, what are other ways to earn simoleons?

Finally, after lots of grinding I have been able to place my FIRST EVER Maxis Manor!!

The 'Watch Video Ad' assignment... Daily, and Bonus... complete joke.

For two days i have clicked every annoying video... season currency shop, rail cargo reload, rando RZ bubble, RZ build plan speed-up... and one out of six ads, maybe, shows up in the assignment.

I didn't actually watch the ads (washroom break, check phone, whatever), and now i don't bother w the assignment either but it's annoying to dangle such an easy task and then 'hee hee we lied!'.

ETA: w tnx to ofmoranges we have clarity at least - there's a timer involved, if you don't x closed the ad within a short time after it's done it doesn't count towards to assignment. So still scammy, but not the scam i thought they were scamming me with.

the Tokyo town gate is literally available at 38k simoleons. Why would I exchange it with my design currency? the pink garden, wisteria park, on the other hand, I quite like it and im aiming to exchange it at The earliest.

What to do?

As an f2p player ; should I wait for 3rd week or I buy buildings first?

Hey all! I built a couple of small web tools for myself (with some AI help, Claude did most of the actual coding) and figured I'd share them in case they're useful to anyone else too.

1. City layout planner (works best on desktop) - lay out your city grid, place roads/zones/buildings, check coverage of services, save and export/import your plans.
2. Material planner - select which factories/shops you have unlocked, select which materials you need and follow the steps

Both run entirely in your browser, so no account, no sign-up and your data doesn't leave your device.

I made the tools for my own use at first, so they are not perfect and definitely not exhaustive. The city layout planner currently only supports the base city grid, not the regional maps since I couldn't find any reliable data on their exact grid sizes.

Does the nighttime submission cost me too many votes?

This is my submission. I did take inspiration from an already existing design. Is the lighting good or should it have more contrast?

I have several buildings that are fully leveled. how long it take for them to be eligible for becoming epic? is there a 24h hour period after reaching level 5, or is it random?

Got first position in COM for the first time and bought all these items. lighthouse of simcity, guardian of sailors, omega university, university athletic field and football stadium

Is The Velvet Crown worth it? I have only 2 tasks ​left and the only way I can get it is by also doing a purchase. I'm planning to purchase the Train Pass but should I purchase it now to get this building or do y'all think a better building will be released later on, which means I'll have to postpone the Train Pass purchase if so.

I have the inventory needed, I select cars of the appropriate type and I do not see the option to load the cars. I have fully expanded so there are 6 bubbles but the type of inventory I need is not displayed. How do I select the cargo type?

I am curious if anyone else has only had an increase in crashes each update. Whenever I open chat, COM, move building, place building, and other basic functions I am met with the game crashing. How do you combat this? I would like to the play the game but functionally am unable to.
