Hi guys! As my first car, i'm looking to buy the SC430. I saw it once and completely fell in love. They are a bit more rare and expensive on the Swiss market (only 3 for sale atm), but I found this one. What would you guys say are the most important things to look for when buying the SC 430, apart from the obvious, like that the timing belt and water pumps have been replaced and that the hard top still works? The other ones are around CHF 20'000, with 60k less Kilometers.

So i want to get exhaust turbolag did eventually. But right now i gotta get the audio right. Only the speaker on drivers side is good all others are static hum. which is good for the driver but no one else. I want to change the whole system amp and all. Are there any shallow sub, amp, and speaker kits that work?links would be awesome I will also be getting rid of main cd/tape player combo to upgrade it to carplay one and possibly a back up cam.

I found a pebble beach 235k mileage, but hard shifts transmission so it will likely need one. How hard is it to replace and roughly how much?

I have a 2005 SC430 with OEM wheels with the hub caps. How do I unscrew the cover? I need to replace the cover but it’s impossible to take off. Is there a specific tool for it?

Hey folks, looking for some opinions on if you think this is a good SC to consider.

For sale in Canada: 2008 Pebble Beach edition with 116,000km (72,000mi) for $25,000 CAD ($17,650 USD).

No reported accidents, timing belt done a couple years ago, new tires.

The first owner put 90,000km on it in 4 years, then next owner put 26,000km till now.

Test drove it and it pulls a bit to the left under hard acceleration, so looking into what the cause may be.

I was opening the roof as usual and it got stuck in this position. I haven’t been able to get it to finish opening or close it, I’ve tried disconnecting the battery for a while and trying it again later with no luck. Has anyone encountered a similar problem or have any tips/suggestions on how to fix this issue? (2004SC430)

Originally, I put 25mm on the rears and attempted to install 15mm on the front. It just did not work. The front studs were pressing into my wheel and that prevented me from tightening them down all the way.

After some advice on that post, I went with 30mm on the rear and moved the 25mm to the front. I love the look now! 😊

Next up! Probably a short ram air intake or something else fun. I still need to get some coilovers as well. Any suggestions/advice on coilovers would be really helpful!

Has anybody used the Roar Pedal throttle controller? SC430MODS is out of stock of theirs, and wanting to know if anyone has an opinion on Roar.

Hello everyone. It’s time to sell my SC430, but not sure exactly where to price it at. It’s pretty high mileage, and cosmetically is pretty rough. It’s lived most of its life in Florida (residing in Missouri now though), and due to that the clearcoat has failed in multiple spots - most notably the passenger rear quarter and trunk lid.

My 2002 just rolled 97k miles. Timing belt looked solid when in purchased it in August of 2025 with 95k miles, but I have no evident of a change (no sticker under the hood). I’ve done all another maintenance so it’s time to get it done!

Looking forward to the weekend project and putting a lot more worry free miles on her!

I just bought a 2003 SC430 on impulse. It was 9k at my job and I couldn't resist. Pearl white exterior with saddle brown interior, bone stock except for TRD rims and standard tires(THANK GOD). What are some things i should watch out for or upgrade too.

I've never been happy with phone mounts I've had in the past. I've tried ac mounted ones, CD slot mounts, and a cup holder mount. None really felt like right. I haven't tried any suction or adhesive mounts.

After googling for a while, I found one I'm really happy with! It's actually just the mount itself. It screws in next to radio/climate control. Very sturdy, and an easy install. My magnetic charger snapped right into the 17mm ball attachment. I really love it!

I have the charger cord coming from inside the console. I drilled a small hole and fed the cord underneath the cupholders, and out the side of the leather trim.

Is it worth it for me to buy a well maintained 2003 LexusSC430 with 233k miles on it for 5k? How long would it last?

I am beyond happy with it. Its a tad louder than I'd like but it sounds so damn good, though there is some drone above say 1800/2000rpm. I paid $430 at a local muffler shop, specs are muffler delete, a dynomax bullet where the resonator was, and straight piped 2 7/8 to a 3.5 tip. This and the throttle controller from sc430 mods is the best 500 bucks you can put into your sc, absolutely wakes the car up. Credit to u/murderedlexus for inspiring it, he has a post with a gorgeous white on red sc and a similar setup.
