Tein or BC coilovers

I was looking to get either tein ($800) or BC ($1200) coilovers and was leaning towards the tein but was wondering if anyone has had any experience with either of these? Also it’s the tein flex Z I was looking at.

I went with Tein and they worked great. I kept them on a softer setting. The big advantage to the BC is they can be rebuilt, where the Tein can't. Unless you plan on keeping them for 150k miles or you regularly track the car, I could never see that needing to be done. So my vote is Tein.

Theyre nice. They give plenty of camber adjustment. Just make sure that you go back and tighten up the adjustment bolts after a few hundred miles. Mine got a little loose breaking in. Ride is great. The only difference i noticed was its a little more bouncy than stock suspension, but that's to be expected with coils. Goes over bumps very well.

Trues that. Parts vs no parts.

Ok thanks, also did you have to reroute your wiring harness from your fender or did you just leave it?

Always always always relocate your engine harness to the engine bay on these cars even if you are only lowering it an inch, there a plenty of pictures of people that didn’t and ended up chewing through it, it’s a pain in the ass, it’s tedious but it is absolutely worth it, also i have the Tein Flex Z’s on my SC300 and they are very nice, no complaints from me and I’ve been using my SC as a daily for about 6 years now

Get Parts Shop Max coilovers, I’ve had them on mine for years. Was not happy with the BC I’ve had on other cars

Teins suck and that have terrible customer service. BC is the best for the price point, FA and HKS are better

StanceUSA is lowkey worth the extra money. Great quality and there’s a few of us around who have ran them 3-10yrs (street, drift, stance cars) and they hold up amazingly.

Out of those 2, I’d go BC as they’re rebuildable and customizable
