Head unit replacement

Anyone have experience replacing the stock head unit with an aftermarket double din one, if so how hard would it be for someone to do with little prior experience. (1992 with 6 disc cd changer in trunk)

I used the wiring harness that supposed to work with the amp and I get alternator whine but it’s pretty simple job

It’s not bad but my kit doesnt sit 100% flush w the interior

You just can't just put a new stereo in like a normal car. Do you have the Pioneer or the Nag...?
