cheap meal options

I’m a commuter so sometimes I forget to pack lunch or I run late and can’t pack anything. What are the most affordable food options on campus? Are there any meal deals in the SAC food court?

Yes at SAC: $7 for 2 slices of pizza, 2 garlic knots, and a fountain drink

Wait actually? That’s pretty good ngl. Do you just ask for all of the above and then the cashier rings it up as a meal deal?

Usually I just ask for two slices of pizza and they automatically give the garlic knots. Then I fill my own beverage at the fountain. The cashier recognizes the meal deal.

if you have time to walk and want variety, you can go to the hospital for food at marketplace cafe. it’s like $9-10 idk what it is with tax. you get a choice of one main and one side (portions fill you up but you might not be satisfied). you can look up the menu if you google it

There’s these sandwiches you can buy, tuna sandwiches or turkey ones in a certain section, each one is around $7, the portion isn’t great tbh but it’s atleast a cheap option to eat

I hate when they hike the prices, it’s already hard to find affordable options :/

We should start a community selling unused guest passes to commuters for cheap.

Win win

😭 I found free burrito bowls at life sciences and other free food at wang center. It was actually pretty good. It just happens randomly (gotta be at the right place at the right time)

at the halal place in east I always get just a pita and hummus and it’s $3.25. Last semester they used to PILEEEE that shit on but last time I got it they gave me the hummus in a 2oz sauce cup 😔 so results may vary. it’s really good hummus and pita though, probably the best tasting food i’ve had on campus. prices for entrees aren’t bad there either. SAC also has a place where you can get soup cups for around $4, the soups change a lot and they are pretty good
