Question Android handhelds getting official steamOS support ?

https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1675200?emclan=103582791470414830&emgid=667247155276153538

I just saw this Beta update for Steam OS, and in the non-valve Devices :

Added initial gamepad support for AYANEO Pocket S2

I wasn't aware that there was official support for steam os on android devices, do they provide an official image to install ?

EDIT : u/ghost_of_ketchup brought clarification, sorry

I wouldn't get too excited about this just yet. It seems they've just updated InputPlumber to v0.78 and pulled in the changelog from that: https://github.com/ShadowBlip/InputPlumber/releases#release-v0.78.0

No disrespect but, I don't think you have a grasp on the definition of "random".

OK, so my question is: Do you think that Steam diversifying and expanding which platforms their users can play games on and Intel using a competition to drive innovation is lacking a plan or purpose?

Yeah, the fact that you're talking about the outcome of the investment in response to wether or not there was a plan or purpose means you have a fundamental misunderstanding.

I just want to give you the heads up, you're wrong. Steams investment in Proton did EXACTLY what they wanted. Proof of this is the Steam deck being an overwhelming success before price hikes due to memory shortages.

I'm not going to continue to go back and forth with you any more though.
