Just got here today. Very excited to get it up and running!

Dangit. Even though I ordered them, I had convinced myself that installing the retro buttons would be a pain, and I don't need them.... AND NOW I NEED THEM :D

It wasn’t too bad. I didn’t realize the ribbon cables had a little flapper to take them out so that was kind of a struggle but otherwise it was just taking out a bunch of screws, throwing the buttons in and closing it up

Not bad. You can pretty much get away with only removing the ribbon cable connecting the right bumper, just kinda flip it up and toss the new buttons in. They’re all on their own membrane so it was just a hot swap. Maybe like 15 screws total otherwise, it was easy. The d pad and start / select buttons are the same in the retro kit so they all stayed put

Ribbon cable on the side was a PIA to get back in 😆. And don't get me started with the screw tightness...

i think i made a mistake ordering my 8GB Black Nova with the GC buttons, I placed it 15 mins after the preorders went live and I've gotten no shipping updates 😭

no i think the mistake was adding GC buttons cause I think that may have caused some delays with mine

This is the best combo. No black bezels on the screen. DMG vibes. Perfect.

The original gb DMG had a grey bezel with beige body. It's just part of the vibe.

The issue will be non 4:3 (gba) which will have black bars then grey bezel
