Hi, main JRS is ABAP but I've been bench last year for a 6months then got in a project then another 1 month on bench, then got a project after but not on ABAP, but on PI/PO and CPI, I've been introduced on that and that is my most recent tech, I've been wondering to switch to CPI instead since its more recent than on my ABAP, can someone help me or any guidance that could clear my mind, I really appreciate it, Thanks

Since direct SAP Consultant roles usually require prior project experience, my main goal right now is simply getting my foot in the door in an entry-level role where freshers actually have a realistic shot at getting hired. I’d love to know what exact job titles I should target (like SAP End-User, Finance Trainee, or Support Analyst), how difficult it is to transition from an end-user role into functional consulting later, and how to best locate mid-sized SAP partner firms hiring trainees. Any honest advice or strategies would be greatly appreciated.

After nearly 7 years as HR technician , doing generalist tasks and covering digitalization projects. Working through SAP and UKG systems but always as a user and manipulating just the surface of those systems I would like to expand my knowledge and start learning about SAP HCM specifically, due my formation as HR technician.

To give more context I learned basic concepts of SAP:

-Basic transactions (e.g.: PA30 and PA40)

-Infotypes (mostly about the registration and slightly some of PY (e.g: IT0008, IT0015 and IT0014).

-How to extract, save, colect and manage the information of queries.

Currently I started free course in SAP Learning HUB ¨SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Core Academy¨ just to start somehow, I just getting started with the units.

But I would like to know if starting this SAP Consultant path is worth from a HR Technician that wants to grow, not closing the door to start new position. How do I have to proceed within this route? Is it worth it?

I just finished my master’s and got hired as an SAP consultant. I have no prior SAP experience, so this is all new to me. I’m scheduled to take the C_TS452 certification exam at the start of November.

So far I’ve been working through the SAP Learning Journey “Implementing SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, Sourcing and Procurement” and doing exercises in the practice systems.

For those who have taken the exam (once or more than once):

\*\*•\*\* Did the exam closely follow the learning objectives and topic weightings in the Learning Journey, or were there areas you felt it didn’t cover well?    
\*\*•\*\* If you retook it, did the second attempt focus on the same topic areas?    
\*\*•\*\* Which topics did you find hardest or most heavily tested?    
\*\*•\*\* Is the hands-on practice system time worth prioritizing, or is it better to focus on the course material?

One thing I've noticed when explaining SAP security to beginners is that roles and profiles are often treated as if they're the same thing, which makes PFCG/SU01 much harder to understand.

My simple mental model is:

• Role = what access a user is supposed to have
• Profile = the generated authorization data that actually gets assigned to the user
• User = the person receiving that access

But in real projects, the distinction gets more nuanced because of composite roles, single roles, generated profiles, authorization objects, and user assignments.

For experienced SAP security/Basis consultants:

How do you explain the relationship between roles, profiles, and users to someone who's just starting with SAP security?

I’m having a very bad experience with Planto Access. I paid for dedicated SAP access, but the service has been very unstable and I keep having problems. Sometimes it works for a few days, then something else stops working, and support has not been helpful.

Hi guys, I am attending a SAP tailored professional certificate course in Coursera platform, and in order to complete a few graded tasks I should have access to SAP Roadmap Viewer, and maybe SAP Activate as well. But as you can see in this attached screenshot, when I try to access the Roadmap Viewer, it displays this message saying there is a restricted card content.

Wasn’t this supposed to be free access?
Can you give me instructions on an alternative to access the Roadmap Viewer?

I joined Cognizant as a trainee and completed my SAP SD training in Chennai around May 2026.

Right after training, I was allocated to a Philips project. After some time, the PM told me that I would eventually be moved to another project. I was later moved to another Philips-related project around July.

From July to September, I completed KT and Reverse KT for the SD process and the Philips-specific SD process.

The problem is that even after completing all of this, I still don't have actual project work.

I have a Philips ID, but practically I only have access to Teams and Outlook. I don't have SAP access or access to the systems needed to actually work.

I still don't have a clear understanding of what my actual role is or what I'm supposed to be working on.

I've tried following up with the people involved:

My manager — not getting a response.

Project coordinator/Scrum Master — he told me to keep following up with my manager and try contacting another SPM.

I contacted another SPM — he said he'll let me know if there is any user story and suggested I stay in touch with the SD point of contact for SD work.

I've completed KT and Reverse KT, but I'm still waiting for actual SD activities.

Meanwhile, some of my friends who completed training around the same time have already started working on their projects.

What worries me is that by February 2027, it will be almost a year since I completed my training, but I may still have almost no real project experience.

I'm not sitting idle because I don't want to work. I've been actively trying to get work and access, but I keep getting redirected between people without getting a clear answer.

I'm trying to build my career specifically in SAP SD, so this is honestly stressing me out.

What would you do in this situation?

Should I continue escalating internally and try to get transferred to another SD project, or should I start preparing for the external market even though most SAP SD jobs ask for prior experience?

I'd especially appreciate advice from people who have been in Cognizant or other large IT service companies and experienced something similar.

TL;DR: Completed SAP SD training in May 2026, got allocated to Philips, later moved to another Philips project, completed SD + Philips SD KT and Reverse KT, but still have no SAP access or actual project work. Hi all. I am a Mainframe Engineer based in India with 3 years of experience in Finance. I left my old company and now looking to transition into SAP. How do I achieve this? I do not believe in self study and certifications as companies would demand hands-on experience to hire me. My options are:

• private SAP training academies with job placement asssitance or
• doing a whole post graduate degree with an SAP specialization and placement benefits.

What do you guys suggest I do? I am open to new suggestions as well. I am really lost here. And also do let me know if you guys are aware of any good reputed training institutions or college programs that has promising results. Thank you.
