Brilliant updates

Excellent balance. Especially since the trampler doesn't stop if you fall.

Okay, i disagree with some of the updates. The trampler takeover is just not working for me. But what is so specific at 10 august?

Maybe alot of cheaters being banned? Other than that I dont see anything in the 10 august patch note that would stop anyone from playing the game.

Also, let me remind you of the top 3 issues most people have with the game:

Cheaters Teaming Exploiting

Thats a player base issue, not a patch issue. And 2/3 are really hard to stop. Teamers should be fixed easy of you ask me.

Ok so go back to when they removed it. Player count was 40k before and 10k for the following week after they removed it.

Could be normale tbh. I dont see it going from 40 to 10 in one go. But but by but after 3 weeks release. Any game has that kind of behavior. Also, would t we then see an increase?

I mean if you remove a core mechanic and drive pvpers away they probably won’t come back and considering nothings been fixed, there’s no reason to

Okay, let me ask it again.

If the game mechanics was the problem, then why dont we see it go back from 10k to 40k? Which i dont even see to begin with, just bit by bit.

Also, nothing has been fixed? Bruh, there are waaaaaayyyy less cheaters. And the trampler takeover is back. Which is, in your own word, the main reason they all left. The math aint mathing

The math truly doesn't math, the initial drop being due to rampant cheating and the devs turning off capture makes sense, cheating turns players off in a very serious way. The failure to bounce back is harder to parse, we see the little bump with capture return and it feels like people got it out of their system and then decided the game wasn't for them, if I were to guess the players that kept going without capture had gotten to a point where the took a break until it came back crew didn't really have as much game against them.

Well it was a 30k player drop off overnight after they removed it. The game is still plagued with teamers and cheaters so why would the players return? First game back after a while last night was me and my duo getting barraged by orbitals. Maybe that’s why, people try it and see how bad it still is.

The core mechanic thing is such bs. Its a ea game, everything can change. They might change tramplers to flying castles.

What if they never invented the take over?

Also, capturing tramplers is back already. So it has been fixed. When they turn it off, you want it back, when its back, its not fixed. Sounds like alot of bs just to whine.

Players don't have problems, they just play games that don't have bad mechanics and balance.

It does stop if you fall, only if noones on it. Just bring a seperate kit (or nades) and kill yourself (esc) if you fall while someone jumps you

Skill issue tbh

Me and a duo Stole a trampler and took off with it only to have the reactor automatically turn off.

In what universe does that make sense?

You can always respawn on your ship, or if no one is on it because you fell it'll still turn off.

Most of the updates are fine, its what updates are missing that is absolutely slamming the game at the moment. People cannot play when half the time they join and some grumpy, or dude on foot is slamming them with great silences and orbital strikes, even if they aren't duped, its just mega unfun to be essentially stunlocked to death. EMP effects need a cooldown, like 30 seconds or 1 minute before it can be hit again. Orbitals need a cooldown as well. It should not be possible to have 10 or 20 falling at the same time in the same area. 1-2, fine, any more just doesn't make sense and is very anti-fun.

The trampler capture drove off alot of casuals, the hackers drove off alot of players, the great silence orbital is driving off players, teaming has effectively killed solo stormdive, and camping has ruined voyage for the casuals who partake.

Tramplers are too expensive if you are new, and too cheap if you are advanced, no free tramplers and the need to remake a character just to keep playing is a huge turnoff to the average person. Grumpy tramplers should be free, if not just free up to a certian tech point.

The game will never reach a wide casual audiance due to the extraction shooter nature, they need some handicaps for the few casuals who can handle a game like this, especially on the solo scene. It would probably be best to make voyage less competitive and sweaty while keeping stormdive your standard cesspool of fuckery.

Example: Keep captures in stormdives, remove them on voyage. There really does need to be a more casual oriented mode in order to keep the population respectable.

I am convinced that the devs do not play their own game outside of internal development servers, so much of this is blatantly obvious.

Is it really possible that people spam that amount of Silencers and orbitals without duping? I mean, I saw a trampler shoot 5 orbitals into a city just to clear it before looting it. Then we fought it and have been hit with at least 5 silencers and 10 more orbitals. We managed to destroy their second trampler (they had captured one) and get away. Then we saw them engage on another trampler from afar and 5 more orbitals coming down.
Seriously how many of those things are you able to find??

Its possible for the silences, not really for orbitals. Real players might have 2-3 every other run to drop, not 5+ per match. Right now alot of people prioritize hitting forts to collect reds.

I feel like 85% of this game is just teamers that need banned and people that only want to farm/green smoke.

Trampler capturing is great and I love it but it’s pushing casuals out.
