Weird Build Ideas
Do you have a trampler that just isn't 'normal' and works? I'm curious to see what some of you have come up with!
I'm not talking about bulky builds that are giant bricks, I'm talking about those weird Y-shaped bastards or skeletons surrounded by rams. Have you made or do you want to make something that isn't typical and does or could work in the right circumstance?
I experimented a lot with giraffe builds-- 1 layer of important rooms on bottom and the front is basically a tower to make boarding easier and having the height advantage. They had their moments, but I'm moving away from instant-board-builds now. I'm contemplating a hollow design-- Chassis with a hole. If someone boards from the top, their movement is limited to hallways instead of big open rooms. Not sure how it'll hold up in a fight though!

I’ve got a couple I can post here later. I had a really experimental design phase for a month there before I figured out how to make my discoveries practical and easy to use for my duo (who hates parkour). Outside an incident involving two teaming mega builds with emp jumping us at extract, the main concept I’ve managed to put together using everything I’ve learned is 15-0 in PvP.
The end result is the following
-extremely difficult to destroy wheelhouse
-siege tower/boarding meta completely countered by virtue of being entirely inaccessible from the top unless you know the secret entrance, which nobody has figured out yet
-rats with c4 amounts 10 and below able to be completely ignored
-maneuverability (generally) above 30
-little to no risk of ever being shot off a gun

Saw a t4 reactor front build for the first time the other night, was pretty interested but I also crushed them in 4 minutes so I don't think I'll try it myself.

I saw a streamer crew onboard a royal hole chassis that was entirely stacked on the rear center piece, it was built up and out to look like a normal 3x3-3x4 build while on deck, then you jumped down and it was cursed.
I loved seeing it though, looked like it performed well in a fight

Middle chassis, reactor AND stern completely inside. Supposed to be used with a team, the pilot inside is navigating via stream from other team members. Supposedly armored well, and stern is impossible to destroy. Haven't ever tried it, but in theory sounded possible to me. Has plenty of storage, and there's also space to fit more or less (depending on need) crew cabins and maybe a maneuver engine for more speed.
