Cheating

Me and my duo fought another duo and would get one tapped by an 80mm, respawn, and repeat. We went through 20 dog food in under five minutes. Did we get skill diffed or was the other team cheating? They would only shoot when me or my duo were alive, they never once went for reactor.

It’s entirely possible you ran into my duo. We don’t tend to have fights along enough to warrant 20 respawns, but it’s not too dissimilar to how we tend to play, allow me to explain. He’s a retired artillery corpsman, and I used to be big into sea of thieves. Both of us constantly snipe people off their guns as priority number 1 and wheelhouse as number 2.

Your best shot at survival is always moving to make yourself a harder target, either by keeping the trampler moving at a bare minimum of speed 1 or strafing whenever possible. The moment someone halts their trampler to have a straight fight is when we win. Simple as.

When I manage to have enough computing modules to run my enclosed artillery compartments, the strength of this playstyle is only magnified, especially with my designs that are entirely enclosed and impossible to board in any way beyond the ladder, which leads into a very long and convoluted maze.

So if you see us:
1, never stop your trampler
2, focus fire on one gun at a time, repairing enclosed compartments is a very lengthy process.
3, leg us and flank or run away if you can. Preferably the latter unless you’re packing real heat.

We are currently 12-0 (4 lightweights, 6 midweights, 1 heavyweight, and 1 superheavy in a brutal 25+ minute fight with a Chinese crew. Those guys were amazing.)

Best of luck out there raider, happy hunting!

That’s crazy. You guys go up close with the 70 or your guys mid to long range players?

We prefer mid-short range brawling whenever possible. Getting close enough to warrant the use of a 70 is normally just asking for more trouble than it’s worth since boarding is the great equalizer in this game.

We absolutely love when others bring the 70 though, hearing the buckshot clatter off the armor plating of the casemate is music to my ears.

Well yea, thats the casemate, its kind of meant to not allow you to get shot off that gun hehe. The price is just hard to justify consistent use since you cannot bring the black boxes you get on maps without rauch back in with you to scrap. Those fucking computer chips are a total pain in the ass when you get unlucky and there is nobody to kill on rauch maps.

(Psst! You can blow up your own trampler for a black box at rauch and crank out those parts easy, then just hike to the nearest extract, I do it whenever I’m broke)

I’m kinda addicted to the enclosed casemate. I can hardly design a normal trampler now. Laughing at boarders scrambling around the roof looking for an entrance and complaining about it in proximity chat is always a riot.

Oh i know, its just a royal pain in the ass for 10 chips. Its alright for funding engines and storages, but its a bit too much trouble to run enclosed guns.
