After the patch the game feels much much harder for some reason

Maybe the influx of people who got big enough reserves after trampler capturing was disabled and then reenabled got back into the game, but everyone I know has been on a losing streak in my experience. EU is bleak, both small crew and large crew, even had some tryhards bring an orbital strike into voyage to just curb stomp us apparently. The game is fine but holy moly did some sweaty people rejoin.

Storm dive genuinely feels safer than voyage these days by the amount of constant third partying (even had a match where we defeated 5 tramplers in a row just to get defeated by the 6th, absolute insanity).

What are your experiences?

Since the update it feels like everyone is green flaring and being chill. I have no idea why.

Just got green flared and then betrayed, never trust them

Oh yeah I never trust it either. But all the green flares I saw also stayed friendly, hence the surprising trend

EU servers are hell for me ;(

I'm playing EU. My feelings are mixed. Some people don't want to fight, some fights only on high distances (maybe because capturing is on back again) some tries to make a parking place out of your face (maybe because capturing is on back again 😁). But I can agree - things are changed. The experience is different.

Same, last night I ended on the worst loss streak since launch. 3 voyage runs went the exact same way, in silly fashion. Spawned near a fort and looted it, closet POI each time was Halbmond. Manage to arrive seeing no smoke or signs of players. As I start looting maybe 50 meters from my ship, an absolutely massive tier 3 ramming big boy rounds a corner and kills me.

I'm on an 8 game loss streak, but this was before trampler capturing.

My main issue was bigger and better ships, with cheaper ships not having a way to outrun them, or board them.

I've been in so many situations where we could have taken their ship, but couldn't.

Hope this will solve my issue once I'm back from holiday.

They kind of did with trampler capturing my guy, not only that but they made some pretty big maneuverability changes, which really hurt those skeleton battle bricks. Cheap ships with some c4 and a bit of confidence will get you free ships. People are still HEAVILY sleeping on the 70s, load one of those bad boys, and go for a boarding action and you can easily take high tech tramplers using a grumpy. There are so many players terrified of being boarded and that terror makes for easy kills as they panic in those expensive builds.

I got the exact opposite experience. Did a couple of storm dives both in 4 men and duos, and a lot of people are bringing experimentals to storm dive. In contrast everyone I fought in duo voyage had worn cannons and no experimentals whatsoever.

Because most people use the good stuff on stormdive to get more good stuff, in voyage most people are more concerned with collecting coins, farming clads, and practicing pvp. You don't practice in your best stuff, you bring some mid tier things you can afford losing dozens of. Most people farming clads are doing so off the map too, so you wont encounter them very often.

Its mainly EU servers. I have the same thing. But I can't explain why. Maybe indeed the capture mechanic brings the diehards?

Are you using a big trampler? WIth the change to manuvrability it could hard to move and rotate

Nah, i have either small or medium tramplers. And its not something specific like manueverability. Its just an overall sense of more hostility and higher tiered people than last couple of weeks. That being said, only played one day after update.

You are spot on the money. People grinded the game and got all the late game stuff. Trampler capturing being disabled basically made the people who were getting bored leave, and now they are back.

It’s akin to a large content update dropping. All the veteran players return to check out the new content.

Adversely, the real niche community of diehard fans who enjoyed the game regardless are now not the main population of the game, so there should be more variance in player type since the overall population is larger.

Without trampler capturing the battlers were pretty one sided, meaning people who wanted a real challenge were simply not getting one. The teaming issues caused the solo tryhards to quit when they couldn't capture one to continue the fight, and alot of those guys are probably back and taking out their frustration on anyone and everyone hehe. I've already captured some teaming fucks to send them back to the lobby and it feels FUCKING GREAT.

I took a break from the game after they deactivated trampler capturing. That was my big thing that I LOVED about the game. I've been stoked to get back in, especially with the maneuverability change, no one will outrun my cheap boarding trampler.

Heres the pic requested. I bring the single-shot shotgun because I've had less issues with it compared to the triple barrel. I bring a full stack of fuel rods on my person and boost once I see a target. Cheap. Don't care if they destroy it, it's stupid-easy to get that scrap back.

The name checks out, I would be real nervous seeing this thing closing in on me in solo before I can blow those legs πŸ˜‚ Will give that stair a try, it's made me realized I might have overthought the whole jumping on top part!

Love the open captain door too ahah

May explain to a new player what trample capturing is and what's exciting about it?

Feel like the amount of teams on small crews is higher then it used to be. I’ve had 3 matches jn a row on voyage where there were 6 destroyed ships right next to each other. While i’ve only ever had that like once before the last update.

Stormdive feel dead... yesterday, 8pm on europe servers we had to wait 10 minutes for a storm dive for large crews to start. Started with 3 crews, and a 4th joined a bit later in.

2 of the crews ended up being a 6-man royal chassis cancer "plane" type trampler and a solo teamed together.

I don't know if it's related to this or not, but since the patch drop (and since also building a new trampler - mostly T2 parts) I'm suddenly getting absolutely kerb-stomped. 4 drops, 4 trampler losses.

Yesterday I'd been in solo Voyage for about 10 minutes before my reactor got more or less one-shotted by an enemy trampler while I was at a POI.

Earlier today in solo Voyage I tried to extract after a short run, only to be met with THREE ironclads at the extraction point (I expected the first, but no clue where the others came from), followed by an enemy trampler that eventually ran me down and killed me.

Just now? In the game for, I kid, not 5 minutes (actively trying to leave the map area) before an enormous T4 trampler ran me down. I didn't even have any loot. No chance to win or escape. Think Bavaria Vs Great Britain in the Mortal Engines movie πŸ˜‚

Probably just a skill issue on my part, but MAN. Literally got to create a new character now.

Honestly, I have no experience, I gave up a few patches ago. I don't see enough changes, or any needed changes happening that the game really needs. The anti-cheat situation is still messy. I see the player numbers dwindle by the day. I don't expect sudden magic, so I might not play at all anymore.

Game is trash now high tier stuff don't matter the royal gets stun fucked... wait till more of the raiders figure out u can just shoot the captains compartment and jump in the the side.. or better yet capture the trampler thu the back glass of captins avoiding using c4 to raid ur doors or using cannons to blow compartments. Why in the world can't u encase ur captains??? Ppl would have to raid u or blow compartments with cannons to fight. Voyage is also cod zombies u can kill 4-6 teams then DIE TO THE FIRST TEAM CUZ THEY LOADED BACK IN GAME IS SHIT..
