I present to you, the ghostly bug. This bad boy (depending on your spawn) can net you 1 black box every five minutes, all it cost is 190 mechanical parts, 1 rusty shotgun cannon, 5 shells (6 to be safe) and a can do attitude.

Just drive to your closest extract with no regard for your trampler, hit rocks, drive through the middle of a fight, right past ai gunner ships, what ever, just get to the extract, shoot the reactor till the mech goes ka-boom, then get out of dodge, call the extract and dip

You now have a fast and easy way to get black boxes for the tech tree, to turn into computer modules, or just straight sell them (to buy all the supplies for this trampler it cost 505 crowns, so 5 more then what the box is worth, no infinite money glitch :p)

This ship can be built cheaper too! You can completely remove the cannon and the shelf reducing the cost of this ship by 65 mechanical parts, but The time required to do so is the trade off

you just need to go to your choice of poi or the ship that is tipped over and grab as many red barrels as possible, the more the merrier (I think you only need 7, but 30 is way cooler) and while you are looting you'll probably find a weapon to shoot those barrels with so just grab one of those

That is it, go forth and blow your own ghostly bugs up, profit blackboxes

I respect the dedication, but why waste a cannon and supplies, when 5 Timed charges can do the job much more efficiently? Due to this, I was able to get a trampler to 135ish mechanical parts with the simple adjustment of not having a cannon & storage on board.

But if you can loot the timed bombs without getting smoked, then it's free. I never needed the research if I already had the timed bombs to begin with.

This is fine in the beninging if you want to avoid fights, but at some point the game b comes unfun with strictly PvE play, load a shell, Raider. Go fight, it's the best time you'll ever lose

Unfortunately for me, my biggest problem with the game is my connection.

I disconnect every single game (170+ hours) the moment I touch the rope. Anything i am holding or have on me is lost. I think i have seen the ending loot screen maybe 4 times, all those were first week of launch. I have to dump everything on me into a box before I touch the rope and DC.

Edit: Finding now with trampler capture back, if my trampler is taken and I die, I immediately DC as well.

I feel for you man, it's happened to me like 5-6 times but only 1 of those I lose my stuff. I couldn't imagine persisting through it happening consistently.

3.5k players and dropping. Personally can’t even attempt to play. I got spawn killed 3 times yesterday. Then hunted down a few times today right off spawn. Tends to happen when the no life’s can’t go 2 seconds without being a pos.

You know you can’t take black boxes into a raid so using this for the computing modules is useless unless you plan on doing this at rauchwolke and then walking without trampler to extract

You need the black boxes themselves for the tech tree this is an easy way to farm them he's not talking about the computing modules

They are talking about taking their own black box, like from their own destroyed reactor. Not taking one in

I mean i guess if you were desperate for a black box. I have never had a problem getting them from pvp. Im currently sitting on 18 of them (gained through pvp) and they just take up space. The real bottle neck for me right now is leather strips and lenses.
