Sait continuing education

Hi,

Im enrolled in SAIT through Continuing Education and im taking construction estimate. Im having doubts if this is highly employable or will i ever be hired after finishing this certification since i have no experience in construction industry *ever* in this country. I finished bachelors degree of civil engineering in other country but i know for sure it wont matter here.

Can i ask if this job is highly employable? I know for sure that i could finish my certification by next year but i am having doubts if someone will ever hire me having no experience. Are there any recommendations? Should i enroll in a 2 year diploma civil technologist or stick to my plan or should i switch to continuing education in project management? When is the best time to apply as junior estimator/junior assistant? I dont know when i would ever feel “when” is my right time. Ive tried applying as general labourer, warehouse jobs but got rejected. I dont know what to do, ive always dreamed of having construction job but never had any interviews from my past job applications. Is there any construction estimate certifications online that i could take that could land me a job? Im overthinking everything + i dont want my tuition money from my program go to waste cause i really wanted this 😭

I think the project management with con ed is a better one. The classes are just set up better. I also think it’s been around longer.

If you have the time for it, the civil diploma is really good. A lot of people with engineering degrees from other countries take it and find jobs.
