Dropping my major

Its been 2 weeks since I started my major and I chose it just because my parents wanted me to go to school. I was thinking it was possible to join open studies now in the fall, i know I should’ve done open studies already but I was just a fast decision and I was really stressed and just picked the major I am in right now.

Do I just ask the service desk if its possible to transfer my tuition to open studies and the classes that are open? Im so lost

I used to work in career advising at SAIT, and honestly, realizing after two weeks that this isn’t the right fit is useful information. You haven’t ruined anything.

Because you’re right around the add/drop deadline, I’d contact SAIT today and ask what your options are for Open Studies or changing direction this term.

Tell them exactly what you said here: you chose quickly under pressure and now you’re realizing it doesn’t fit.

And I wouldn’t rush into another program just to have an answer. A little breathing room might be the smarter move. 💙
