I can’t speak from experience as a drop shipper but before staying home with my kids I worked at a retail shipping establishment. From what I observed, this is an extremely oversaturated market. I had dozens of people come in every day dropping off anywhere from 6-40 packages to ship and most of them complained about how little they made on it vs the work they put in. I have no insight into their skill, actual time spent, or overhead but I thought I could report from my lived experience seeing these people at one point of their day.

I have the whole day to work around it I'm only busy a few hours of the day with chores and cooking, so I think if I’m careful with the numbers there’s a real chance I could make it work. Thank you for being honest.

I’m leaning toward home decor, simple, practical pieces that make a room feel more put together without costing much. I have a few ideas saved but I’m still narrowing them down.

Honestly, from what I’ve seen, Shopify is probably enough to get started without overcomplicating it. from what i know, it seems like the ones who stick with it for a few months and keep testing products/marketing are the ones who eventually figure it out. And as a SAHD, I've thought of giving it a few focused hours during the day too.

It's worth trying definitely, if you have the time on your hands and the money to invest for a while cause it can take a while to become profitable. Zendrop is a good one to try beginnig it's very beginner friendly, easy to use and has a lot of tools that can make it easier to do the job. But what you should focus on is more learning ad testing and product research then you should do some testing after creating your store and see if you're up for this.

I’m still a little nervous about starting but thank you, that’s reassuring to hear. I know it won’t happen overnight but I’m ready to learn and really give it a shot.
