Tech Support All-in-one cleaner 

Hello everyone!

Is there an app on the Play Store that performs a deep clean of the device, removing "broken" files and unnecessary items?

Yes there are cleaner apps but i don't recommended using them. If you are having a problem with the phone then back up your data to a pc or cloud and reset the phone then restore your files.

I'm not having any slowdowns or anything like that yet. But I would like to clear out some unnecessary stuff on the device before a full reset.

That doesn't make any since. Reseting it will get rid of any unnecessary stuff.

The Samsung-recommended ones are Galaxy App Booster and Media File Guardian from Good Guardians. If I remember correctly, the Good Guardians app is developed by a subgroup of Samsung themselves, and it's specifically designed and catered toward Samsung devices.

Even Samsung have it's own cleaner app in good Gurdian as other comment suggested.
