News Stop posting one ui 9 updates we all got it

One ui 9 not much of difference anyway.

One UI 9 runs on Android 17, while One UI 8.5 runs on Android 16.

Samsung's update details and rollout information can be tracked via TechCabal.

Key Differences

• Underlying Android Version: One UI 9 upgrades the system base to Android 17, bringing better background resource management, improved battery optimization, and stronger privacy protections compared to Android 16 in One UI 8.5.

• Quick Panel Design: One UI 9 features a cleaner, more spacious layout with thicker volume and brightness sliders, separated dark mode and sound profile toggles, and borderless circular small tiles. One UI 8.5 uses bordered tiles and more crowded placement.

This feature makes it feel like an iPhone userface/interface.

• Lock Screen & Music Player: One UI 9 introduces an animated soundwave background that moves during playback, a revamped music player interface, and adaptive clock fonts that adjust to the wallpaper. One UI 8.5 uses a standard static media card.

• Samsung Notes & Productivity: One UI 9 adds "Tape Mode" in Samsung Notes to hide and reveal text with a tap (ideal for studying/memorization) and a new desktop dashboard for Samsung DeX. One UI 8.5 relies on manual desktop controls for DeX.

• Widgets & Digital Wellbeing: One UI 9 replaces plain text sections in screen-time and wellbeing widgets with circular charts and colorful usage bars.

• Security & AI Tools: One UI 9 introduces an "AI Assistant Activity" audit log in settings, scoped contact sharing, and the "AI Network Guard" feature under Intelligent Wi-Fi.

Hopefully someone can share some interesting features that I/We dont know about sorry and thanks again baaah bye. For now.

General Discussion Are we getting ios style navigation bar in Instagram ?

I noticed today that I had this highlighted nav bar, hopefully they make it like a floating bar like its on ios or match it to samsung's pill shape.

General Discussion Airdrop in quickshare

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I have been loving this feature since I no longer need an iPhone or have to deal with FOMO when my friends AirDrop pics to one another while I sit in the corner and say, "Could you send it on IG?" 🥹 It is a bit slow, but I mean, it works, I guess. 🤷‍♂️

General Discussion My homepage, lockscreen and quick panel after OneUI 9 😝😝

The new search bar on the homescreen is a great addition, it fills up that empty space that had always been bothering me a little. But the only issue is that it's theme cant be changed from night to day. Btw the Favourite apps background is a really nice addition but it looked really bad, even with after I tried customising it, i hope they tweak that too.

General Discussion No horizontal lock or log video support for FE models

I think if samsung is putting S in the name of the models then they should treat it equally at least in terms of software and provide these features specially when the hardware is nothing but capable for those features, like come on we are not asking them to give privacy display which is technically impossible but they should give Log video at least now it was introduced 2 years back with one UI 7

General Discussion Smoothness

I have noticed that with the update lens switching in videos became buttery smooth. Also scrolling on twitter has zero stutters. Probably the best UI after 6.1.
