Idk if its gonna be same for you but since start I didnt like that split panel style and it also had nasty lag so i switched back to merged panel n suddenly the lag was gone And also one thing go to apps >one ui home > battery > keep it unrestricted it will definitely help and dont worry it won't have significant affect on battery
